Radio fuse blown 2000 chevy prism where is the fuse?

I'd recommend starting with the fuse, if you haven't checked it already.

Your vehicle's radio uses a blue, 15amp fuse. It's possible the fuse is blown and needs to be replaced.

The fuse box will be under the dashboard, behind the cover, on the passengers side of your center console.

If the fuse is intact (not blown), the radio has either failed or there's an electrical issue that'll need to be inspected by someone who can diagnose vehicle electrical issues.

Check for a short in the wiring going to the radio. if ok. there is a short are a blown component in the radio

is the cigarette lighter working if so it may be the one on the radio its self. can blow the radio fuse and not the main fuse. radio fuse is less think it is 5amp as main fuse can be 15-20amp fuse.

could be a fuse, but i doubt it. if half the panel lights are out on the radio itself, there is either a blown bulb inside the radio, or some other problem. if it is the panel surrounding the radio, it may just be a blown bulb or two. as far as the fuse box location, there are four solid options. under the dash by your left foot, on the opposite side in the passenger footwell, on the side of the dashboard, or under the hood. hope this helps

could be as simplet as blown fuse for radio. i would start there. look at your "audio" fuse in the fuse box. if thats ok, then you have something elses goin on, but start with fuse check.

There is an illumination fuse located in the dash fuse box. It is typically a 5amp fuse. Pull the fuse out and see if it is blown. Try replacing the fuse and see if it blows again, if it does there may be an additional problem.

try pulling all the fuses one at a time and see if any others are blown. if so replace.

Open the drivers side door and open the fuse panel on the dash. the fuse should say ACC or you can just pull them till you find the blown one.
