Why do I hear my 2000 Malibu beep 14 times on the drivers side of vehicle and then stops?

Could be just a glitch. The BCM controls the beep through the radio. Thats why you hear for the speaker/drivers side. There are three possibilities for the beep. Door ajar with the key in the ignition, turn signal on too long, and seat belt unbuckled with the car running. Check for lights in the dash. no door ajar light, no seatbelt light. That could be the problem.

No dash lights or tail lights on my 1994 honda accord ex

I have right now the same problem. I just pulled the fancy/shmancy radio head out of my (Honda) 1992 Acura Integra and the whole dash is now a mess. It had been professionally installed. The dome light now doesn't work, the "door open" warning lights stay on, the clock is messed up, etc.
I installed the fancy head in another car, in a 1992 Honda Civic. That works perfectly. Sounds like you need to find a professional installer to re-do your new head.
I think the dash lights and the taillights are on the same circuit/fuse.

'02 Rendevous beeping randomly, no lights or trouble indicatiors on. Beeps when parked, beeps while driving, no rhyme or reason apparant. sometimes goes 10 or 15 minutes without beeping, other times beeps...

The audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The radio generates the audible warnings through the left front speaker. The radio receives audible warning requests via the class 2 serial data line from the IPC or body control module (BCM). If the radio receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate:
Fast rate chime--200 pulses per minute
Medium rate chime--150 pulses per minute
Slow rate chime--50 pulses per minute
Single chime

Is the sound heard different from typical Audible Warnings ?

Fasten Safety Belt Warning
The radio activates the fasten safety belt audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, slow rate and duration (5 pulses). The fasten safety belt warning sounds and the fasten safety belt indicator illuminates when the following occurs:
ā€¢ The ignition switch transitions to ON.
ā€¢ The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) detects that the driver's seat belt is not buckled, signal is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the SDM indicating the driver's seat belt status.
If the seat belt is buckled when the ignition is turned on, the chime does not sound. If the seat belt is buckled while the chime is sounding, the chime stops. If the seat belt is unbuckled after the initial transition to ON, the chime does not sound.
Headlamps On Warning
The radio activates the headlamps on warning as requested by the body control module (BCM). The BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, fast rate and duration, continuous. The headlamps on warning sounds when the following occurs:
ā€¢ The ignition is OFF.
ā€¢ The BCM determines that the driver's door is open, signal is low.
ā€¢ The BCM determines that the headlamp switch is in the park or head position.
Key-In-Ignition Warning
The radio activates the key-in-ignition audible warning as requested by the BCM. The BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, medium rate and duration, continuous. The key-in-ignition warning sounds when the following occurs:
ā€¢ The ignition switch is OFF.
ā€¢ The body control module (BCM) determines that the driver's door is open, signal is low.
ā€¢ The BCM determines that the key-in-ignition switch is closed, signal is low.
Turn Signal Reminder
The radio activates the turn signal warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, medium rate and duration, continuous. The turn signal warning sounds when the following occurs:
ā€¢ The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
ā€¢ The turn signal switch is in either turn position, sensing, within 1 second, an open to B+ transition in the turn signal control circuit, left or right turn.
ā€¢ The vehicle has traveled a distance of 1.2 km (Ā¾ mi) by counting pulses on the vehicle speed input circuit.
The IPC turns OFF the turn signal reminder when either the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, or the turn signal switch returns to the OFF position, sensing, within 1 second, no transitions from open to B+ in either of the turn signal control circuits, left turn or right turn.
Additional Chimes
The following chimes will turn ON when an associated indicator/message turns ON in the IPC/DIC:
ā€¢ ABS indicator
ā€¢ AWD Disable indicator
ā€¢ Battery/Charge indicator
ā€¢ Brake indicator
ā€¢ Change Engine Oil indicator
ā€¢ Door Ajar indicator
ā€¢ Hot Coolant Temp indicator
ā€¢ Low Brake Fluid indicator
ā€¢ Low Fuel indicator
ā€¢ Low Oil Level indicator
ā€¢ Low Oil Pressure indicator
ā€¢ Low Tire Pressure indicator/reset
ā€¢ Low Washer Fluid indicator
ā€¢ MIL (Service Engine Soon) indicator
ā€¢ Oil Life Reset
ā€¢ Park Lamp Out indicator
ā€¢ Rear Hatch Ajar indicator
ā€¢ Service Traction System indicator
ā€¢ Service Vehicle Soon indicator
ā€¢ TRAC OFF indicator
For a description of an indicator refer to Indicator/Warning Message Description and Operation .
For diagnosis of an indicator refer to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console .

Did the Mechanic check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in the BCM or insturment cluster ? Did you try a Buick dealer ?

My 96 Taurus GL has an electrical short somewhere, The radio works on & off , the defrost is out,The speedometor works only every so often, when the lights are on it starts giving me a clicking sound...

sounds like you may need an alternator... theres not a short< your just losing battery power and the steering wheel being hard to turn is probably your engine cutting out... also it could be a seized up pully or a/c compressor...

91 honda ex, passenger front seat belt is not working and the light in the dash board keeps lit, I have check the fuses for it, and all the connection to the belt and it seems all intact...any advise?

Your 1991 model Accord has automatic front retracting shoulder belts and, more than likely, the power retractor motor has gone bad on the passenger side front. If the shoulder seat belt is not in the retracted position, up close against the seat, when the car is running, the seat belt light will stay lit on your dash. Have the seat belt motor inspected and replaced if necessary.

1993 honda accord ex drove in rain belt squeeled

Sounds like maybe the ECU had taken in some water. Is your ECM located behind the engine on the firewall? There are two large fuses located on the passenger side wheel well in the engine bay. They are two large (2" plastic covers) over them.

It is most likely the door switch does the interior light come on when the door is opened if not replace the door switch, this switch also controls the seat belt motor.
