On the drivers side of the engine you will see the oil filter housing and an air tube. The power steering reservoir is under the air tube.

SOURCE: 2001 mb clk 320, my ignition switch will not turn.

Hi there
I had something similar on my merc
but yours sounds similar.
the fact that you say the steering lock no longer works is very worrying, most times the key not going past position 1 is due to the steering lock being actuated and the pressure in it has to be released before the key will turn, you will have to go from lock to lock the find where the steering lock actuates when this happens follow my wiggle method of turning the steering wheel slightly when the steering lock is on the disengage it. ie keep trying the key whilst wiggeling the steering wheel.
hope that helps

SOURCE: mercedes clk 320 will not start

i have a 2000 clk320. it would not start sometimes, the engine would crank but it wont start. but after an hour or so it would start. sometime i'll get somewhere park, and come out an hour later and the engine would not start. if your having the same problem, take it to autoparts store ex: autozone or kragen. they could check your battery for free. and if its not the battery. than it could either be your fuel pump. or the crank position sensor. good luck. hopefully this help.

SOURCE: where is the trnsmission cap for clk 320 model

Hi there,

Mercedes have purposely not put a transmission dipstick in their cars...to STOP any unauthorised persons from tampering with transmission fluid levels.

Electronic transmissions are extremely temperamental - if incorrect type, level is too low (or too high), this will accelerate premature wear and tear, not to mention erratic shifting behaviour.

For this reason, only Mercedes service agents have the required workshop tool (ie dipstick) which they insert into a tube in the transmission, to check levels.

If you happen to obtain the correct tool for your own use....please ensure you use only Mercedes specified fluids....and NEVER overfill the transmission case.

Cheers,

Power steering fluid?

The power steering on your 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx has electronic power-assist and not hydraulic power-assist so there is no hydraulic fluid. If you're not already aware, this vehicle is part of a major recall from General Motors for power steering failure. Contact your local Chevrolet dealership for more information. You will need your vehicles VIN as shown on your registration or dash plaque. Hope this helps.

Where do i add power steering fluid to a 2005 chevy malibu

There is no power steering fluid in the system.A 2005 Malibu is electronic steering. If you lose assist you may have to replace the steering column. You may also have an intermediate shaft that is binding. The I-shaft connects your steering column to the steering gear. There is a universal joint in the shaft that may be stiff or seized.

Cannot find the resorvoir for the power steering fluid

Many of these have a Electronic Power Steering Assembly. No fluid is required. If you are having a problem with it you have to take it in to your service center, there is nothing you can service at home.
