It is in the fuse panel, but if it blew then they are shorted and u need to coorect the short, but chances are the problem is the backup light switch on the transmission

You are right, but the correct switch isn't listed, that means it is a dealer only part, so u will have to buy the switch from the MAZDA dealer.

I am trying to locate the fuse for the headlights on a 2005 mazda tribute

Why are you looking for the fuse? High beams not working? low beams not working? Are neither the high or low beams working? Are you sure the bulbs are not burned out? There are 4 fuses for your headlamp system, which one are you looking for?

Back window wiper won't work ,05 mazda tribute.don't have manual

Start with the basics. could be something as simple as the fuse. I have a 03 Tribute so i guess it is the same model as yours! if so. The fuse can be found in the fuse box in the passenger footwell. There is a small inspection plastic cover in the kick panel. if you un clip the cover, on the reverse side you will find a tool that clips onto the mini blade fuses to extract them (very useful). Also on the reverse side of the cover is a list of the fuses and to what it relates. The rear wiper fuse from memory is approx a 1/4 of the way down the left column of fuses 10A but just confirm on the list. Mini blade fuses are usually coloured but transparent so you will be able to see if the fuse element is still in tact, but always best to double check with a continuity meter. Hope this helps. Simon.
