I tried to add a performance tune from Diablo Trinity and it failed to install. After that process failed the vehicle won't start. i noticed that i'm getting random msgs on my dash like- Reduced engine power, engine coolant hot & vehicle hasn't even been running. Prior to the failed install it ran perfect no issues or codes. I tried contacting the company and they were no help, after being on hold 44min they talked me through the process again and no start up. At that time i was told to disconnect battery to reset ECM after 30min same result. I then called dealer and a tech told me to briefly touch the neg & positive battery cables together to reset and then retry. It still doesn't start and the same msgs are flashing on dash. Is there anyway to just reset this truck back to origional factory settings w/o towing it to the dealer??? Thanks in advance
No , you have tow it . To much electronics . Hooking up a factory scan tool an doing a whole vehicle scan is the first step in diagnosing a problem like this . Some module shut down causing a communication fault on the serial data communication network .
Maybe you shorted out a sensor too . still need to scan the vehicle .
Disconnect battery and let it sit overnight.

I had the same problem with my 2003 denali and came to find out that it was the battery causing the problem. the battery with sufficient power will dictate the tps. if the battery is low or bad, it won't have enough juice to allow the tps to. work. get your battery checked.

I would have tried new pLugs and wires and using fuel injection cleaner in the regularly. You could also check to see that the Mass Airflow Sensor was not damaged.

put a remote starter cycloid on the firewall that's hooked to the one on the starter to get rid of the having for it to cool in order start it. At least that solved my problem. As for the brake light flashing..well mine does too but everything works....it's most likely a short somewhere. The biggest problem is driving off with the parking brake set. As for the hood. My paint is fried as well. I think it's because there is no insulation installed under the hood. Who knows. Good luck

you should check the voltage on your batttery when the car is running. If it reads about 13.5 to 14 volts, your alternator is doing it's job. If it's less, replace the alternator. If the alternator is ok, you have a power drain somewhere, you will need a proffesional to look at it.
Testimonial: "Thank you! I had a mental checklist of items to look at and you confirmed what I wanted to get checked first. Thanks so much for the quick response!"

Does or did the check engine light ever come on durring all of this ? Or did the alternator light ever come on durring all of this? Jump starting another vehicle, damage to your battery I duoght it, damage to your Alternator and or other electrical componants highly possible if not connected properly. The new battery going dead again could cause all of the problems you have discribed for me. If I were you the first thing I would do is check the new battery and see if it has gon dead now. If so check to see if it is Frozen. If it is frozen you will half to replace it, because once a battery has frozen it will never hold a charge again.Once you have replaced the battery with a good known one (fully charged). Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature and then disconnect the battery if the engine keeps running then the Alternator is fine . If the engine stalls then you need a new Alternator.A bad Alternator could have ben the problem from the start.I also live in a cold climate zone ( RedDeer, Alberta, Canada).Good Luck and have a good XMSS.
