Every time it rains, water puddles on the floor in the cab of my 2000 Chevy Blazer. I've also notice beads of water on the distributor cap. Pretty sure it's not a windshield leak, since Blazer hasn't ever been in an accident and it's only got 34k miles on it. I think mice have plugged a drain tube or channel somewhere. They built a nest in the passenger compartment fan, and I cleaned that out as far back as I could working from the engine compartment, but water still gets in the cab.

HI, the best thing to ensure the right choice of repair is to look under the vehicle and inspect the oil pan and plug. you will notice on site where the leak is during this inspection. Considering the miles on this vehicle, the oil consumption is quite normal. you will have to replace the valve seal and rings soon. most oil consumption will occur around the 90-100,000 mile mark. Most likely, this oil leak will be coming from the oil pan itself but, it always good to inspect it before you buy new parts.
Please rate and god bless:)

I had the same problem. It's not the heater core that's actually located in the center by the transmission hump on these cars. My leak was coming from the gasket on the "cabin filter". You have to remove the windshield wiper arms and plastic trim to get to it. Basically you have a fresh air door that opens when the car is shut off. The Cabin filter sits above this and the rain is kept out by the gasket. The gasket is just sitting in place and mine came loose. I put it back with a weatherstripping adhesive. Haven't had a problem since.
