You could have fried the computer. You'll need a scanner put on it to make sure. Scan all the computers in the car. Depending on the car, the ECM,BCM,security, and dash can keep the car from starting.

Try to have codes pulled to see if any codes relate to the starting issue.

If you are sure you have a key off battery drain, what you need to do is connect an ammeter to the negative side of the battery(disconnect the negative battery cable and connect one side of the ammeter to the battery terminal and one side to the and one side to the battery cable) note the reading and start pulling fuses one at a time making sure to put them back in their proper slot when the reading an the ammeter goes down to normal the short will be on the circuit of the fuse you have pulled if any part of these instructions is too difficult have the problem checked by a dealer

Start with fuse section of owner's manual. This will tell you where fuse box is located and which fuses are for each circuit.

There is a block of fuses under the hood mounted in a plastic housing on top of the battery for things like ABS, glow plugs, radiator fan, engine electronics, etc.

There should be a section in your Owners Manual that describes wach fuse, and it's size. In my manual it's found in Section 3.2 immediately behind the section that describes the fuse block mounted on the side of your dash inside the driver's door..

Take to dealer. Vehicle needs vag-com to be reprogrammed. Bring all keys with you to dealer.

The fuses are located on the drivers side of car left of your dash cluster.

OPEN L/S DOOR , PULL END CAP OFF DASH , FUSE BOX LOCATED THERE W/ SOME RELAYS & REST ARE UNDER L/S OF DASH OR UNDER HOOD

Open the driver's door. On the exposed end of the dashboard is the fuse panel cover. Remove the cover, it contains a list of what fuse controls which circuit. Other large fuse links are inside the top of the battery cover under the hood.

The diagnostic port is usually beneath the dash on the driver's side of the car, near the hood release handle. If you get down under the dash, you should see the connector there (it'll the be only one mounted there).
