Steering wheel wobble/notch back to center after turning?

Tires checked for broken belt. New rotors surfaced (that took out wobble of SW when braking), alignment checked, tires balanced (with Big-O ground force machine.) HOnda dealer replaced - Steering rack, and PS pump. Now, steering wheel shutters/sluggish only when returning after a turn. Happens at slow speed turns, (like when NASCAR drivers are warming up tires weaving back and forth.) SW notches/wobbles back to center turing both right or left.

SOURCE: 25mph to 50 mph tire wobble

It could be a couple of things the tires could be out of balance and need rebalanced on the machine or it could of lost a weight from either the inside of rim or outside wherever your weights are located.

SOURCE: steering noise

Here's the answer you were looking for. I hope it's not too late. There's a recall on the reservoir because it starves the pump and they slowly breakdown (whine). Take it in, cash in on the recall, get the new reservoir, demand a new pump. You paid good money for the Cadillac of minivans...you deserve it. Worked for me!

SOURCE: i have a 2004 (bought

I recommend taking your vehicle to a shop (any shop) that use a Hunter tire balancer. These machines can detect all variables that affect ride quality by not only spinning the rim, but it uses a roller to inspect the tire itself for its "road force". They can also measure the rim while on the machine for run-out to detect for a bent rim. There can be times when a tire can be mounted to the wheel in a postion that promotes more vibration, but the hunter machines can check and show the correct location to minimize the feel to the driver. Here is a picture of the kind of balancer you want your vehicle serviced at. Please let me know how things work out.7e27679.jpg

SOURCE: steering wheel shutters/hard to turn

sadly it sounds like the rack and pinion is going bad..rebuilt units are available ...you'll need a 4 wheel alignment after replacement.  Get this fixed as it very dangerous and will only get worse

SOURCE: squeeky belt and front wheel vibration after having belts replaced

I would guess your two issues are separate. The squealing belt could be an adjustment problem or a wet or damaged belt. Belts can vary, how long they last. I have replaced them the next year on some cars and others could 3 or 4 years. The tire vibration could be related to the tire tread or some type of tire defect(a bubble in the side wall), may be an alignment problem. Check the steering components, tie-rods, ball joints, and wheel bearings.

Why after I took my four wheel drive out the front wobbles? sometime and over 55 mph its making a loud humming sound?

For the wobbling. Can you feel the wobbling in the steering wheel? If so. 1 Check tires for knots or steel breaks, 2 bent rims. 3 Check lug nuts, Also check oil-grease in front end. Humming could very well be dry front end or bearing.

Steering wheel wobbles when driving slowly and in a straight line

you need to have your tires checked for a slipped belt, also if you get a shake in the steering wheel when you apply the brake you need to have the brake rotors re-surfaced or replaced.

Shake and shimmy in a 1997 Silverado. They replaced the pitman arm and steering arm yesterday and 2 wheel aliignment.

Sounds like you need another shop, Most of the items that would cause your problem should be found by the shop alignment tech. Some things to check, tires: mismatched size or type, separating belts. bent, warped or unbalanced wheels, steering box play (internal slop), loose steering box from frame, congealed fix a flat in one of the tires, worn out or broken shocks, loose wheel bearings, problem could be in the rear tires and felt through the seat. if shimmy is while braking , your rotors will need surfacing or replacing. Not a lot of info was provided. 2 wheel drive or 4, big tires or stock, how quickly did problem start... Good luck

Whats wrong when my front end has a wobble in a 95 camaro

The first thing I would do is to jack up the car and inspect the lug nuts to make sure they are tight. Then spin the wheels by hand and look to see if the wheel is bent any. If the wheel is bent it will wobble. Next spin it again and make sure the tires don't have any broken belts in them. If you have broken belts it will look like the tire isn't perfectly round, and the tire will wobble while the wheel runs true. On some models that use old style lug nuts they can be installed backwards. If you have what are called acorn lug nuts you can only put them on one way. If you have the old type the angled surface goes in. If these are on backwards the wheel can wobble. If this all checks out you need to look at the steering components, you probably have some worn out parts. For most people the front end inspection should be done professionally. This is because it is beyond the capabilities of most DIY people.

My steering wheel rotates back and forthYou can

You need to verify that you don't have a low tire first,After that have the wheels checked on a spin balancer to check for a bent wheel,If you can't see a bend wheel problem,it will be a seperated tire or the steel belt shifted in one tire,You can rotate the tire to get that feeling out of the steering wheel until you replace ties.

Steering wheel vibrations

It could be worn starting parts, Not ballanced wheel, and broken or worn struts. Start with the wheel getting ballance and go from there if there was no problems before your got the new tires put on.

Steering Wheel Wobble

Have you tried cross checking with another wheel alignment specialist? To me it seems to be coming from the tyres or a dented rim. You could ask them if they do dynamic wheel balancing on the car itself. This will take in consideration the out of round of the hub as well.
Let us know if there is any change.
Cheers.
