I have a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor and I am wondering how to make the rear power windows work again. The only way to put the window up or down is to use the switch on the drivers door. I took the door panel off but cant see any problems. Also, when u take the switch off the plug for the rear window it will not go up or down at all.
Pull the b pillar cover off next to the driver's seat, there will be a connector with 2 red wires mounted to the b pillar right next to the seat belt retractor, find the other connector, and connect them. should operate normally.
I know from working on police crown vics that we usually disengage the windows. One was is to remove the switch panel and then remove one wire from the plug itself. This wire that we removed is what controls the windows from the back. Therefore making sure that people cant roll there windows down. If it is this problem then it is an easy fix. Any more questions [email protected]
Most of the time you need to pull both of the rear window switch panels up to gain access to the wiring harnesses and then inspect the wiring behid the black tape. Usually they either cut the wire or disconnect it from the switch.
Anybody know if this will work with a 2006 impala expolice
On my 1998 Crown Vic, Solution #1 worked for me. On my interceptor, they simply disconnected the power window terminal in the arm rest. Simply remove the plastic trim which holds the switch, find the wire which is disconnected and reconnect it. This will involve removing two screws. No big deal at all. Unless, of course, some cut the wire out ....
This is Built into the Computer for the Rear Windows on the Intercepers. There is not a Way to fix this without Replacing the Computer. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!

For check passenger compartment fuse panel, is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Remove the panel cover to access the fuses.
Other details and descriptrions can find it in 2003 Ford Crown Victoria - Owners Manual (page 164 and next).
Hope helps (remember rated this).

Headlight module under the dash. It is the size of a box of crackers, not a small part.
