SOURCE: Steering Wheel noise on cold start

this is either a loose belt, or low power steering fluid. Remember that Honda uses a diffrent power steering fluid from everyone else. Make sure it is a Honda compatable fluid, or you will get leaks.

SOURCE: Moaning noise in steering column

The probably lubed the intermediat shaft conenction. The loud poping noise could be from them not sitting the boot back correctly. Inspect your boot. As for the moaning noise Only thing I can think of is a hydraulic noise.

Why is the steering making a moaning sound on 1991 volkswagen westfalia ?

Groaning in the column itself could be the column bearings, or perhaps the horn contacts, although they make more of a scraping sound. A little lube sprayed between the steering wheel and column may help that. If you're referring to noise in the steering itself, sometimes the front upper control arm bushings groan when they're worn out. Or power steering fluid loss due to leakage from rotted power steering lines under the van. Trying to address all that I can think of, but your question is rather vague.

While driving steering wheel locked up and cute off

Sounds like the low amount of oil caused serious engine damage. It won't be a cheap fix.

My 2000 toyota camry 4 cylander makes a screetch noise when the steering wheel is turned all the way either direction. Why?

First check your power steering fluid for the proper level and check the belt. Also Get a Friend to sit in your car and turn your steering wheel giving you an idea of your problem area. But it sounds like the belt slipping on the power steering pump or its low power steering fluid level.

Make sure the tie rod ends are greased up, if that is possible.

Have moanining sound when turning steering wheel right to left and vis versa. Added fluid the other day only to find large stain on ground where passenger sear would be after backing out of lot. 1997...

the moaning sound comes from air in the power steering fluid system (bubbles), the reason you have air is because of a leak, my suggestion is to jack the car up and you will probably find that the power steering rack has the leak and will require a replacement, not a n easy and clean job if you know what i mean

Restriction on steering wheel movement

Sounds like it might be a bad CV joint. There may be a groove in one of the joints ball races that only binds when torque is applied to the joint.I thought of a dry ball joint, but you said only when you are driving and a ball joint would do it all the time.
