1997 Grand Cherokee stalls at speed and at stop signs

Stalls suddenly at speed (buck, buck-dead and coasting, oh no!) or at idle. replaced in-tank fuel pump/regulator/filter unit (after 150K miles, oops). Still stalls. Could it be engine control module or some other sensor?

We have the same problem with our '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee and replaced almost everything EXCEPT the Ignition coil which was just done. The coil had 8 cracks and was allowing moister into the system. The engine has run fine since then. Only time will tell if this has fixed the problem once and for all.

At this point, everything including what you replaced is suspect. You need to start testing. Is there spark, fuel etc when it stalls. What do you find when its running. does it idle well does it surge under hard acceleration, etc. Does it stall randomly or at a certain time after starting (or temperature) What are running fuel pressures. Is engine grounded properly?

2001 jeep grand cherokee stalls as i coast to a stop, jest had a tuneup

I would check the fuel pressure and take a look at the throttle position sensor and the idle air control valve.
Most of the time stalling on take-off is a lack of fuel, and stalling at idle is a lack of air going thru the control valve or the throttle body.

97 Grand Cherokee larado dies when you slow down or are stopped. Some bucking/stalling when driving it. We have replaced trottle sensor and igination coil; change air filter; but we did just install a new...

The ac compressor does put an additional load on the engine.
Any minor problem with performance can be amplified with the ac on.
I would check fuel pressure and look at the idle air control valve.
Also check the computer for trouble codes.
Both 6 and 8 cyl engines use a cap rotor and wires arrangement, so it wouldn't hurt to make sure those components as well as the spark plugs are in good working order.
The bucking on the road and stalling at stops could be two different issues.

How can i minimize the fuel consumption of my jeep 2000 cherouki laredo 6 cylinders ?

There are several things you can do. Make sure the engine is in good tune, replace the air filter, Air the tires up to 34 pounds air pressure to lessen the rolling resistance, How you drive is most important. Take off from traffic light and stop signs slowly. accelerate steady, don't be in a hurry to reach cruising speed, unless, of course, you are merging with fast traffic. Anticipate stops. Start slowing down sooner when coming to a stop sign or traffic signal. Coast on the downhill streets, and use the cruise control as much as possible. Don't waste gas warming up your vehicle in cold weather. It will warm up quickly while you are driving. Any time spent idling is zero miles per gallon.

Jeep stalls

try doing the procedure below, should cure the problem.
Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
