Fiat doblo door open light stays on and doors won't lock

this is the door open light indicator on your instrument panel correct? it thinks the door is open. do interior courtesy lights work? i.e. turn on off when opening doors? check for "normally open" circuit faults in the door switches

The open door indicator light is on while doors are closed

The switches themselves might be broken. This can happen when the door gets closed on the seat belt. Check for damage on the switches, or paint on the doors. Finally if all else fails, get a volt meter to check for power at each switch.

Door open indicator light stays on , automatic door locks go on & off while driving and dome light and outside mirror lights wont go off after the car is turned off

i would hazard a guess and say that wires in the rubber boot from the door pilar to the door are damaged or the connection block in the door pillar in this the terminals are corroded or something similar

Door open indicator stays on and lights stay on and car won't lock

One of the doors "thinks" it is open. That will make light stay on, power door locks will not operate and alarm will not arm itself. If the indicator shows which door is open, then check on the door frame for the door ajar pin / switch. Move it by hand repeatedly to see if it is stuck or misaligned. If unable, then pull the pin out to check the connection, and if still no help, then bridge (short) the cables to see if dome light goes out. If this is the case, then replace the pin.

Dash indicates that there is a door open, but

The indicator light is turned on and off when the door depresses a black button in the door jam. Similarly there's a button on the rear tailgate and rear window.
Try opening the tail gate and closeing it firmly. Do the same with the rear window.
If all these fail to operate the warning light properly the most likely problem is a short circuit. You should have this fixed ASAP as it will drain your battery.

2002 taurus passenger door lock

Mine did this. I went around to each door and sprayed a liberal amount of WD-40 in the latch, then open and closed each door about five times. It hasn't done it since. I think the switch inside was not moving freely.

Program garage door opener

You must first erase what's in the memory.
1.) Simultaneously press both buttons 1 and 3 on the Audi's built-in remote. Hold them until the indicator light flashes (20 seconds or longer).
2.) Now hold your garage door remote close to the Audi remote.
3.) Simultaneously press and hold both your garage door remote button and the button you would like programmed. The indicator light will first flash slowly then rapidly.
4.) You may release both buttons once the light flashes rapidly.

Jag xj6 1996 97 programming the garage door openers

1. For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.) 2. Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (located on your visor), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
3. Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.)
property_damage_symbol_sm.gif Note: Some garage door openers may require you to replace step 3 with the “cycling” procedure noted in the “View Canadian Instructions” section.
4. Press and hold the trained HomeLink button and observe the indicator light.
  • If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should activate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released.
  • If the indicator light blinks rapidly for 2 seconds and then turns a solid/continuous light, proceed with the following training instructions for a rolling code device. A second person may make the following steps quicker and easier. Please use a ladder or other device. Do not stand on your vehicle to perform the next steps.
5. At the garage door opener receiver (motorhead unit) in the garage, locate the “learn” or “smart” button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). If there is difficulty locating the training button, reference the garage door opener’s manual or contact us. 6. Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button (the name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer). NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step. 7. Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two seconds and release. Repeat the “press/hold/release” sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.
