I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe .A light keeps coming on that says oil pressure is low. Stop the car. I took it to a local shop that checked the pressure and they said it was fine, but the instrument clust

The guage could be bad and losing connection triggering the message. My dads Tahoe reads low oil pressure but the sensor connection or stepper motor that moves the guage could and have had a history of being faulty.

How to locate the oil pressure switch on a 03 tahoe with a 5.3 V8

The oil pressure sensor is located behind the intake manifold, at the very top and rear of the engine. It's in pretty much the same place as the old small block chevys have always had them (if you're familiar with them) It's right above where the transmission attaches to the engine. There is the camshaft sensor, right next to it, and the oil pressure sensor is the one to the driver's side. It' kind of a bear to get at , and even to see.
