Prndl error truck wont start. "prndl error no park assist" buzzing sound coming from fuse box

starter failures, are all classic and fails only for a short list of things
all 4 endes of 2 huge battery cables not rusted or loose.
battery is bad, or only discharged,
cure is charge it or get it load testing in any top autostore for free.
jumper cables, can make starter now work AAA auto club tow truck called and jumped, properly
next (or first)all fuses good not blow,none.
and PRNDL magic, shift to Neutral and crank it, omg it cranks.
(hold brake with foot shift to N) if yes cranks PRNDL is bad. for P
ok no joy.
hot wire the starter, in park and wheels chocked, ask.
ok that fails starter so is dead, if battery is good.
OK that passes (starter hot wire tests)
you scan the PCM and it shows PRNDL, or TRS errors
in English ,transmission range errors. BINGO bad range switch
aka, park lock out features is failing.

OTHER CAUSES BAD STARTER RELAY
IF IT DOES NOT CLICK WITH DEAD SILENT STARTER MOTOR
THINK BAD RELAY , THE PRECURSORS, BAD PRNDL OR DEAD BATTERY.

IS SEE FORDS NAME FOR PRNDL OR TRS IS
DTR. DIGITAL TRANSMISSION RANGE

THERE ARE ONLY 7 CAUSES NOT WIRES BAD.
2 ARE FUSES.
1 IS KEY SWITCH
IF BATTERY AND FUSES ARE GOOD WE HAVE 3 POSSIBLE THINGS BAD.
STARTER
RELAY ( IT MUST CLICK IF STARTER IS SILENT.)
DTR ( TRY NEUTRAL CRANK)

IF AT WITS END ANY VOLTMETER FINDS THIS EASY, ASK.

wow no year told (CAR) now that is a huge CHALLENGE NO?
top cause is park lockout failing, lots of causes, but only the service manual covers how it is done there, on 4 boxes.

the shifter is bad, park soleniod or PRNDL switch failing and with that dead, the park park lock out does its thing,on purpose !

this car is not USA , so is Down under, sure.

4-speed M93LE automatic (SX; SY RWD, AWD)

check all fuse yet?
scan the PCM</TCM yet and missing all those DTC errors about PRNDL errors?

well the uses guide told you to step on the brake firs.
did you>? this is call park lock out on cars.
the fuses are checked first not replace the shifter.
THE PCM on modern cars do all this now, using
PRNDL from the box. (tranny box)( and if the PRNDL fails
so will the lock.
so can fuses. blown
the modern car/ tranny , the TCM (PCM) does all real shifting
and if the TCM sees errors it fails to allow shifting or is limited
that is how it works today, no more shifter lever park soleniods in the console now, they are GONE.

the steps are simple ,
1:check all fuses first. many things can fail with lots of computers on board and we must check them all.
2: scan the PCm at the OBD2 DLC 16pin jack at knees.
see it told you what is wrong but failed to look

if you keep throwing parts you will go more broke fast. I promise
tow it to a shop, or drive it and not use park use N and handbrake to park. then tell them our tale of woe

I had to star at your PRNDL word for a second
before I realized ... that is your
AUTOMATIC SHIFT Sequence letters...
PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE... LOW.

I'd be wiggling the neutral safety switch around to see if there were any response there...

Do be VERY CAUTIOUS... if INDEED your
"NEUTRAL SAFETY switch is defective your car is ready for loco-motion (toto-cray = driverless possibilities)...

Get a sharp mechanic to TEST the switch...

check the seliniod under the shifter mine was faulty so i got an electrician to by pass till part came in

the buzzing is a bad relay , probably the main electrical shut off . Good Luck

Sound Like Transmission Position Sensor ... a sensor determines when you are in Park when stopped...if not, wont start...

Other solution could be Fuse Relay...do you hear buzzing sound coming from fuse box. If so, feel which one is failing and replace. $6 at Autozone....

Probable your fuse box buzzing any moister will do that try buying a can of compressed air but be careful the canned air will shot out water if not held at right angle or blow out your fuse box after removing fuses make sure they go back in the right place also disconnect battery so no frying of the fuse box will occur. If you have a air compressor that will work too. Then if the engine will not turn over it could be many things if it is not even trying to turn over try charging the battery if old buy new one. still wont start after that i would then try to replace the starter.. and see what happens. wish you best of luck and hope i was helpful...

i think the computer is telling you that it is not recognizing what gear you are in as you can only start the vehicle in park or nuetral. thats the best i can do for you sorry

i live in jacksonville fl. and my truck(93 f150)was doin the same thing. i changed all my grounds to the motor firewall etc. and the problem has stoped. my truck would sound like its battery was dead, and i realized the started would be really hot so i would pour about a gallon of water and it would start rite up. changing the ground wires seem to do the trick for me.i hope this helps , good luck!
