Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT


Check engine light comes on and off, these are indication that there is some error code stored in your vehicles ECM. The engine module computer needs to be scanned. These will give the code and as per the error code the further problem can be detected and confirmed. The engine light indicator blinks or remains steady on dash when engine computer noticed any problem with any engine electrically operated components.

Why did you replace cam , crank sensor's an the fuel pressure regulator too ? What is or was missing ? fuel or spark ? did you pull a plug wire an check spark . I got a 09 pontiac g6 wont start.there is no crank no clicks when i turn the ignition on but the engine light is on
You have know idea how the starting system works , an with the engine light on your best bet would be to have it towed to a qualified repair shop .
When the ignition switch is turned to the Start position, the body control module (BCM) receives battery voltage on the ignition 1 voltage circuit, and less than 5 volts on the off/run/crank voltage circuit. The BCM supplies voltage to energize the RUN/CRANK Relay 32. The BCM sends a high speed GMLAN serial data message to the engine control module (ECM) that the key is in the start position. The ECM receives the message from the BCM, and also receives a serial data message from the transmission control module (TCM) containing the shift lever position. If the shift lever is in Park or Neutral when ignition switch is turned to Start, the ECM supplies voltage to the START Relay 31. The START relay supplies voltage to the S terminal of the starter solenoid, through the 30 A STRTR Fuse 26, in order to crank the engine.

Just replaced the fuel pump in my 03 Toyota Matrix, car still doesn't want to turn over. What else could be the problem?
Explain doesn't want to turn over ? If the engine cranks when key is turned to the start position . You have a cranks but won't start an run condition . When you say it won't turn over , we as automotive technicians think the engine won't do anything when the key is turned to the start position. We don't just replace parts with out doing testing on the electrical circuit for the fuel pump , an hook up a fuel pressure gauge to test fuel pressure . It has to have spark , fuel an compression for the engine to start an run . Also the anti-theft system can't have any problems . Is there a security light lit on the Dash ? Fuel Pump Relay TESTING and REPLACEMENT

The engine doesn't spin when key is turned to start position ? That's a no-crank no start condition . Now if the starter turns the engine over when key was turned to the start position an did not start an run ,that is a engine cranks -no start condition . Put key in IGN and turn to run. All warning lights should come on, including the check engine light. Then turn the key to crank. As the engine cranks and the crankshaft position sensor detects rotation and reports it to the PCM, the check engine light should go out. If it stays on, the PCM isn't getting input from the crankshaft postion sensor. Check the connection or replace the sensor.

When the light comes on, one or more diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) are stored in the engine control module. These DTCs remain even if the light goes out. To address a Check Engine Light problem, the DTCs are retrieved and the appropriate troubleshooting information is followed in order to determine the problem.

A test light connected across the coil primary leads should flash on + off when engine cranks(coil sparks when 12v turned OFF due to collapse of magnetic field).If you get pulsed 12 volts,and no spark from the coil,the coil is bad.If you don't get the pulsed 12 volts,trace back to find out why(the PCM turns the coil ground on and off,12 volts comes from switched IGN source)

Check is current is flowing in the cables to each plug(4)! Remove any of these cables and hold it near any metal(engine block) and have someone crank it.
