1993 benz has an issue with timing shifting forward once the engine warms up. I have a 1995 e420 swap in it. Block number 11997512018174. Many parts changed out with dealer oem.. Possibly need new rotors? Heard of implanting rotors from different year (same block) rotors on adapters, which fixed the problem??? I have no clue on details, but if anyone has leads or help, that wold be great.

Have you check the transmission fluid level? It sounds like it is low. You might not have a dipstick in that unit. I'd add at least 2 quarts and test drive it.

It is a straight forward procedure, but getting it around the fan is tight. Just put a wrench on the belt tensioner pulley, and pull up on it to loosen the belt. While holding the tensioner up, slip the belt off. Just make sure you draw a diagram of the belt routing, before taking it off.
