I need to know how to adjust the idle on my 1994 ford tempo 4-cyclender

this is not adjustable. You have a vacuum leak, or a bad intake maniflod gasket. To test this , start engine, and spray some engine cleaner directly on the intake manifold gasket. If there is a change in the idle, the gasket is shot. Also spray all the vacuum hoses you can see. This is a great way to determine what is bad, but knowing ford tempos, 2.3, I'd say the gasket is bad. Good luck, let me know how you make out

More then likely idle speed control motor sit on the T.B.I, I would recom to have computer diag. done before you start replacing part's, good luck.

There is just one wire bolted to the starter with usually a 10mm bolt.

it sounds to me like it may be something as simple as replacing your fuel filter and cleaning your air intake the get sludged up and can cause starting and idle problems but be sure to buy the cleaner that is sensor safe

Usually the fuse diagram is located inside the glove box on a sticker. If yours is gone, check out your local library for the big book on the tempo. Hope this helps, KJS
