This is not un- common. The heating elements do wear after a while. It is probably an open circuit in one of the pads in your seat. A quick restance check can determine which one it is.

I have a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE and the heated seat on the driver side stopped working. I had the fuse labeled for the heated seat (which I believe was 20a) and it was blown. The buttons for the heated...

Replace the fuse with one the same rating. If the seat now works.... smile. If the new fuse blows or the heat does not work you may have a short (or a broken wire) inside the seat that's causing the problem. It's an 11 year old seat.... tearing it apart to find the source may not be worth it.

Why heated seats on a 2008 saturn vue went cold.

They are timed like rear demist, the manufacturers reason this.... Starting a cold car takes time to warm up so they give us heated seating. As your journey continues the car gets warmer as the engine heat is directed towards the cabin via vent settings. The seats are power hungry and require much juice to heat so as the cabin temp rises, it takes over the job of heating your whole body and not just your posterior (so to speak), the seats will automatically switch off. Press the button again and they should come back on for the prescribed time.

Or could be a blown fuse !

Heated, power seats not working

Check wiring under the seat. Frequent habit of pushing things under the seat such as flashlights and tools etc and moving the seat forward and back sometimes pulls wires or breaks them.

2004 Chevy diesel with heated leather seat that quit working.

It is a fuse. Go into your owner manual to locate the fuse or just look in the fuse panel as they are labeled.

Power seat and heated seat not working

Check the wiring harness beneath the seat, the fuse and the switch.

My driver side heated seat doesn't work the passenger side does. I checked both fuses and neither one are blown.

the seat heater element is bad,,the heated seat pad has a open, the wire burns a hold in it from wear and tear and then they dont work, its most likely the drivers side seat back,,,,

2004 saturn vue driver side heated seat stopped working and it is not the modual installed new one

its not the module,,its more than likely the drivers side seat heater element,i would say the seatback element, remove the seat cover, just unlatch it under the seat from the rear of seat under it and then pull up its velcrod on,,and then youll see a little burn on the heater pad and thats your problem, then you need a new element,,,thats why theydont work,it causes a open in the system

Drivers Heated Seat Only Part Working on Chrysler Crossfire

Seems like a huge coincidence it stopped working at the same time it was visiting the dealership. I suggest you take it back and complain that they broke your seat.

You have nothing to lose and will probably get the fault diagnosed free and maybe more...
