They tested the computer, ingnition switch and starter. all good. took it to buick and they said ignition switch and a wire to the starter. $710.00 is what they want to fix car. I really think they are overcharging me and i dont think its the ignition switch. Can anyone help
Well I would suggest looking up the cost of the ignition switch yourself, this way you can figure out how much they are overcharging you for the part and figure out the labor charges. I would look into replacing it yourself if it comes down to that being the problem, most cars aren't hard to do. BUT, if it tested good already and a wire is bad to the starter that would be the place to start. If it doesn't work after that, move to the next step. You can also have it scanned and see if any codes come up, those cars are notorious for having cam/crank shaft sensor issues. Good luck!

Not a clarification but a comment: Hell!!! you can buy a complete steering column for way less than that, and it's easier to replace than taking it apart!!! Note: it will crank if sensors are shot. (just won't start)
If it's not cranking, there's a problem with power getting to starter. Is this intermittent or is it being towed from shop to shop?
