I have 2010 acadia---I am having trouble with the lights. I turn the dome light knob all the way to the right, which puts the interior lights on. This setting allows for the lights go out when i close the doors and the car is off. However, when I am driving, the lights stay on the whole time unless i turn teh dome light knob again. This started after I brought my car in for service---It wasnt this way before I brought it in and I can't seem to figure out what setting it was on! Thanks for your help!

SOURCE: 2010 Acadias interior lights will

Hi, viewers! There is a dome lamp cancel switch together with the Main Headlights rotary switch and the backlighting dimmer switch. Just beside to the right of the main headlight rotary knob are two control buttons. Go for the top button, this should cancel the dome lamp function regardless of door opened or closed, otherwise you could be having some wiring or module issues that may need extensive diagnostics. Normally, it takes a minute or two for the dome lamps to automatically turn off after closing the last door, specially the drivers door. I just hope you got it okay, good luck though. : )

SOURCE: my interior lights stay on even with the doors

This is a short on the dome lamp assembly. It is possible that the ground wire from the dome to switches is short.
remove assembly and check.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 gmc sierra 1500 and I can't find the button that turns off the dome light when you close the door.

The button is part of the latch that holds the door shut. If you have that many issues I wonder if the wiring harness in between the door is bad?

Testimonial: "Thanks for your help. The problem was with the headlamp switch module which also contains the dome override and dash light switch. I disconnected it and the dome light works as it should when the door opens and closes. I ordered a new headlamp switch. Thanks again!"

My 2009 GMC Acadias dome lights are not working when I open the doors.....what am I missing?? I have read the manual about 5 times and followed what it said with no luck :(

Usually this happens when somebody pushes the wrong button to turn on/off the dome or map lights. On my car (not an Acadia) there is a button marked "Off" and another marked "Door." If you push "Off," you not only turn off the dome lights, you stop them from turning on when you open the doors. To correct this you have to push "Door." Not what you would expect a button marked "Door" to do, right? I'll bet there's something similar going on with your car.

2010 Acadias interior lights will not shut off. All doors are closed. Is there a switch I'm missing and if so where is it?

How do I set the interior light to come on automatically when I open the door?

{: ) If you open the driver door and the dome lights are off, there are two butons nearest to the right of the main headlamp switch. Push the one situated on top. That's the interior lamp on/off switch.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 the dash lights will not come on. I checked the fuse and it was not blown. what could be causing this problem?

the knob or wheel that turns on your dome light is the first thing I would check...the wheel or knob needs to be turned to the right all teh way until u hear a click that turns on ur dome light. That also turns on ur dash lights..or at least it should be the same button/knb or wheel that ur thumb can turn. hope this helps...Owners manual should also tell u where its at..under the category "Interior lights".

Interior dome light stays on while driving

Your dome light switch in in front of the driver's seat where the headlights are. It is possible that switch is bad as it should be both a turn knob switch, and by pulling on it, it becomes a head light switch. You may have to replace it.

Dome light

Might sound funny but check the rheostat knob that dims the interior lights, sounds like its set to always on. Check the dome light too, some have always on and on when door is open settings.
