Can you get the car scanned to obtain the code; the reason for the check engine light being on? If so, please do so, and provide us the code.

Ignition trouble shoot

Hey Ron,
AN internal combustion engine requires three (3) things to run...assuming the internals are good.
1. Adequate compression >120PSI
2. A properly timed spark
3. A proper fuel/air ratio

Start with one, and eliminate one at a time(make sure it works) - ..(this is the way a professional would trouble shoot an engine).

My car starts fine when engine is warm. I turn it off then try starting it again. then starts up and shuts back off. does it like 3 times in a row. then I wait a few minutes then it starts up when I push...

stalls, are complex
if the engine is good (compression at spec)
it this list.
1: lost electric power to EFI system or spark.
2: bad fuel.
3: bad spark.
4: bad fueling. (too much or too little.
5: EGR stuck open
6: ISC dead. or IAC dead. (idle air valves failing cold)

there are tests for each.
cold start failure only ! all else good, engine tuneup done?
1: ECT fibbing like oh'bummer. (signals water temps of alaska in Panama? "floods, and your right foot helps./..........
2: IAC (cold start fast idle air valve bad) same for right foot....
3: check engine light on running? is it?

ECT can cause gross over fueling.
the IAC dead will cause gross under AIR which in fact causes flooding (less air plus same fuel = flood)
bad fuel.

2006 corolla- check engine light comes on. i replaced the battery (old) and i reconnect it it runs fine for about a minute no warning lights then shuts off check engine light is lit and will crank but not...

Does it run for a full minute or start then shut off within a few seconds?
If the latter, then it sounds like the anti-theft system has kicked in and needs to be reset.

Accelerator needs pumping 3 times to start when cold engine low on power engine suffocates and jerks under full throttle, especially when cold sometimes emits a black smoke when being run hard.

Yeah, you have a blaster, I means a leaky oil valve seal and when turning it of after driving you can rev the engine up a bit then immediately turn ignition off, this will leave enough fuel in fuel line when started the next day. Good?

1999 Corolla CE ~150k miles...When attempting to start the car, only in very cold temperatures (T<50*F), the engine has difficulty turning over and will start with a loud unidentifiable engine noise. ...

the car doesnt come with a timing belt, it has a 10 year worry free, internal timing chain, but it sounds like either your battery or starter, cold weather causes the electric flow to slow down, take your battery in to see if its ok, then check your starter. good luck and hope this helps

My 1996 toyota corolla is showing "coolant temperature curcuit malfunction"

Check the temp sensor at the lower radiator hose. If you should pull it out the radiator fan should turn on. IF it is on all the time even before the engine starts, you may have to replace it. If the fan does not start at on you may have to check the relay. Otherwise it could be a wiring issue or some dirt in the radiator hoses or you may have to have the radiator drained and replaced. After doing the troubleshooting suggestion. Remove the negative cable of the battery for more than 2 minutes to clear the error. If there is still an error proceed to another trouble shooting procedure above.

Car trouble

Its because that the engine is very cold, try to worm it up more time before you start driving.
