When engine is started, side marker lights are also dimly lit. All lights (Head/Tail/Turn) operate normally. But engine will continue running until lights are turned off with the switch. Is this a light switch or ignition switch problem?

Have u checked the actuator linkage from the ignition lock cylinder down to the ignition switch on top of the steering column near the bottom under the dash? de-trim the steering column, there are four screws that hold the 2 halves of the cover on the column u access them from the lower cover, feel for the access holes with your finger, then u must drop the column down from the dash connection/support by removing the support screws to the column under the dash, they are 15mm, the cover screws i mentioned are Phillips head.

SOURCE: Blows fuses when parking lights are turned on. Headlights work fine even running lights.
If it only happens when you turn the switchto the parking lights then it is most likely the swich that is the problem. Light swich failure appears to be a common fault with fords

Would that be at the ignition switch, or light switch? Thanks!
