Daytime running lights not working

The daytime running lights on my Yukon do not come on and haven't for some time. I know that the bulbs are fine because when I unlock it, the lights light up with no problem. Any suggestions???

I have the same issue the DRL do not come on.Have tried the on off solution proposed still nothing.

any advise?

I'm not sure about your specific model but I know on some Ford's they have a DRL module/relay. If it burns out no DRLs. Maybe someone else here will know for sure, otherwise consult a service manual.

A quick search on the net leads me to believe you may have to check what the light switch is set to. It seems there's an "Auto" setting and an "Off" setting. It may also be a blown fuse... just a thought...

I tried the 3-time on/off too. Made my headlights goes out! Had to do it again to bring back headlights back on

On the inside of the car next to the light switch there is your dome button. GM made it to where you could turn off the daytime running lights by pushing it three times in and out. Turn the vehicle on then do this. Your daytime running lights should work after this.

Make sure the parking brake is fully disengaged.If the brake is down one click, the running lights go out, however the brake indicator light would be on if this was the case.

1996 chevy suburban high beams work, low beams and daytime running lights don't. checked all fuses none blown, dont know how to check relays except to replace each one, one at at a time.

with a test light back probe the green wire behind the low beam then if test light on = bulb defect
the blue one is for daytime running lights example : if 1 bulb is burn or open no daytime running lights
p.s. you need to have 2 bulbs the same or it won't work

you may have the wrong type of bulb. I believe the daytime light requires a dual element bulb did the plug go on ok?

My daytime running lights do not work. Could it be related to a bad fuse or should I just replace both bulbs?

Turn the lights on maually. There must be a switch to go from auto to manual.
If they go on, it another issue, not fuse or bulb.
I've never had both bulbs go out at same time.

'04 Astro dash lights stopped working. Radio, and temperature displays illuminate if I disable daytime running lights by pressing and releasing dome overide three times, but guage and speedometer do not....

think you may need to fit a head unit ,but not completly sure ,suggest the dealers here who will have the right software to check the codes

Alero: low beams as bright as Daytime runners while brights work?

Look for the relay for the head lights,it may be bad.Also look for a bad ground.And check the bulbs too.

the lights are controlled by a module, it is the DRL module, replace it. also try this

2000 Silverado daytime running lights don't work. bulbs new.

Not saying that you don't know this but the daytime lights are turned off in park.
If that is not your problem, a friend of mine uses the amber bulbs, they last longer.
