SOURCE: passenger side floor getting wet

There's a water drain tube that is supposed to run from the heater core down under the car to drain away condensation. Yours may be clogged or disconnected, and allowing the water to run into the car.

SOURCE: 2000 Chevy cavalier first my car

The heater core is not plugged, it is leaking and will have to be replaced. It will have to be accessed from under the dash on the passenger side. This can be a very difficult item to replace and very time consuming. Plan on it taking a full day.

Coolant leak

Obisouvly a leak somewhere.Would start with upper and lower radiator hoses with vehicle running and at normal operating temp. This will allow the cooling system to build pressure, look for signs of wetness at hoses as well as heater core hoses from water pump to usually the firewall where they go into the passenger compartment to the heater core.

Hearing water noises behind dash in 2009 Chevy cobalt

your heater core is behind the dash on the passenger side. The antifreeze travels through it as its cycle through the engine. Thats what gives you hot air when you turn your heater on. If you find that there is water dripping or pooling in the floor board of the passenger side then your heater core needs to be replaced and its not an easy task.

2000 Impala leaks coolant out hose in firewall

It sounds like you're looking at the heater core water lines. These connect to the heater core supply and return inlet and outlet pipes to bring hot coolant into the cabin for heat and windshield deicing.

The heater core is a mini radiator and operates on the exact same principles as the radiator does. The heater core is located behind the dash board on the passenger side. Look for a wet spot of antifreeze on the passenger side floor area - close to the firewall for an indication of a leaky heater core. If it is leaking, it will likely need to be replaced. This can be a pricey repair.

Good luck!

Replacment of heater core on 01 chevy S-10

Have replaced my heater core in my 2001 regular cab 4wd in december 2009. Had to pull the complete dash including the complete metal dash behind the dash that you see. Also had to remove the right passenger side inner fender well to acess the remaining two bolts that hold the heater core cover to the firewall. Its an insane job to do but the repair shop books call for 9 1/2 hrs to do the job. I'm not an expert but this is what it takes.
