Have reset fuel pump cutoff switch but will not start.
Does it have fuel pressure when cyling the ignition key?
Do you hear the fuel pump run briefly?
I doubt you reset anything, unless you were in a terrible
accident.
First off, there have not been carburators used on any
vehicle in 25 years
I assume the trans at least, was done by someone
other than yourself
So how was that road tested & how did you get it home,
to get to where your at?
If you do not have the factory workshop manuals & the
powertrain control/emissions diagnosis service manual,
you simply have no referrence material to learn from &
use to resolve the cars problems
We can not guess at what any number of items may be
at play,as we are at home & use the site exactually as you
do,& as yourself, have only our personal vehicles,no data base
or any ties to the web site to help you.
I say all that, because I would imagine your trying to resolve
yourself without paying a shop or worse,a dealer

SOURCE: I have a Jaguar XJ8
Yes it does have a cut switch, located on the fire wall in the engine compactment. If you push the black button it will reset it. I don't think it's that . I think you should check the fuse, if good you should leave the key in on position or the # 2 position for 5 minutes so the fuel pump can prime the line.
Good luck
SOURCE: 1999 lincoln fuel pump
My fuel pump on my 1998 Lincoln Continental has no power. I checked the fuse it is good. I checked the fuel shutoff switch it was fine. I have traced the wire from the fuel shutoff switch to the fuel module driver in the trunk. The wire has power. I have also traced the positve wire from the fuel pump to the fuel driver on a different terminal, this wire has no power from the pump. I also changed the fuel driver, the low fuel pressure switch, the alternator, and battery.does anyone have any suggestion's?

There is fuel pressure and I can hear the pump. The car was in an accident and the transmission locked up and the fuel cutoff switch opened. I fixed the transmission and reset the fuel cutoff switch, but it still won't start. I sprayed some starting fluid into the carburetor and it tried to start then stopped.
where is fuel pump reset switch
The fuel pump reset switch is located on the passenger side behind the panel in front of where your toes would be.
Correction: The fuel pump reset switch is behind the passenger side panel to the right of where you put your feet.
After replacing the spark plugs and fuel filter, the car still will not start. Any other recommendations?
