The problem is inside the box, could be a sliding sleeve and gear

if you used the car with a bad cluth you may have damaged the syncromesh, it nearly always happens in 3rd gear. Sounds like the fault, the syncromesh is part of the gearbox and most often cannot be fixed without a new gearbox.

My nissan primera sometimes wont shift gears after l stop,l switch off the engine and start again it starts shifting

My dodge truck did that. It was the shift solenoid in the transmission. Once it was changed, problem went away.

No gears at allk

sounds like problem in the transmission shift top if it won't shift gears. If throwout bearing is not engaging pressure plate, it sounds like the pivot for the clutch acctuator is broken

i would check the throwout bearing, if this is the problem try starting in first go for a while than try up shifting to second. after a while your transaxle should warm up making an easier gear transition. ( this only partains to bad throwout bearing )

94 chevy s-10 clutch won't release comepletely after replacement

two things to mind, sometimes when you get a new clutch it comes with blocks in pressure plate there put in there from the factory for shipping purposes, they have to be removed otherwise it will do what you discribe. secound if you got the wrong length throwout bearing will do it to. most likely its one or the other. if you sure everything is right as far as clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing, than the only other thing i can say it could be is slave cyl. bad. hope this helps. 2000 accent clutch is soft

There is a bearing that presses on flat springs of the clutch plate and slides back and forth on a hollow tube when you press the pedal. These can get fouled with road crud and then hang now and then when you press the pedal and perhaps not fully disengage the clutch as it should producing either a stiff action or even worse, the gnashing of gear teeth. Some bell housings have inspection plates that can provide enough access to use some cleaner/lubricant on the hollow shaft on which the 'throwout' bearing must slide.
