Hello Gary53053,
MAF, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve ... (??)
Your codes are two fuel complains and an exhaust issue.
My best recommendation would be to direct you...
First -
To take a look at your local prices for DIY muffler & catalytic converter replacements... (below in US dollars)
Only then -
Go to your local EXHAUST shop and get an analysis
or
to get out your LIQUID WRENCH & BEST six point wrenches
to do the job yourself...
I think your exhaust is heavily clogged or restricted...
Go back and ask what is going on!!!

Bank 1 is the converter on the side that engine cylinder one is on. Yes that is true about the converter, the computer is programmed for a certain value, an aftermarket cat will not meet that value and the check engine lite will be triggered.

DTC P0170 applies to fuel trim malfunction on all 2.4L vehicles, 3.0L Federal vehicles and right bank (bank 1) on 3.0L California vehicles.
DTC P0173 applies to fuel trim malfunction on left bank (bank 2) on 3.0L California vehicles.
DTC Set Criteria (2.4L)
Engine is in closed loop control. Intake air temperature is more than 14°F (-10°C). Barometric pressure is more than 11 psi (76 kPa). Volume Airflow (VAF) sensor output frequency is 88 Hz or more. Code will set if long-range fuel correction is less than -12.5 percent, or more than +12.5 percent, for 5 seconds and short-range fuel correction is less than -10 percent, or more than +10 percent, for 5 seconds.

On 3.0L Federal code will also set if short-range fuel correction is less than -13.5 percent, or more than +13.5 percent, for 5 seconds.
Have the O2 Sensor changed on the Right Bank, ( passenger side of the Engine, or where the # 1 cylinder is.)
Good luck and hope this helps

Hi,
That code typically comes on due to an air leak, clogged fuel injectors,
clogged fuel filter, or even a bad mass air sensor. I have answered
other questions from people with similar problems, and some have had
luck simply using a fuel injector cleaner with a full tank of premium
gasoline. I've had good luck with STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner,
available at most auto parts stores. I would also recommend you replace
your air filter.
If your light had turned off, there really isn't much any mechanic can
do, though you can ask for them to check for any air leaks in your
intake system. But if your light comes on again and stays on, the
problem probably is with your mass air sensor, and would probably need
to be replaced.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
The code P0170 means that the air-fuel mixture coming in to the engine is too lean, or too rich. Usually it's the lean condition that causes this code. The code P0173 means the same, only for the Bank 2. Some car manufacturers list the description for the code P0170 as self adaptation out of limits.
The code P0170 could be caused by a number of reasons, such as vacuum leaks, bad PCV valve, or other parts of crankcase ventilation system, low fuel pressure, bad oxygen sensor, bad MAF sensor or even a bad EGR vlave.
