with the P2004 and P2008 code OBD-II Trouble Codes: Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 1. The easiest fix is to replace the Intake Manifold Runner Control @ carparts.com for a total of $35 bucks. But first check the vacuum hose attached to the Runner Control. If its cracked or has some sort of leak it'll throw the codes.
Best to you.
There is a rod passing through the intake manifold that rotates butterfly valves inside the ports. It is actuated by a lever on the end of the manifold that is moved by a small motor. The codes indicate that the actuator is not functioning or the rod is stuck from turning. Check the connector to the motor and the wiring. See if you can rotate the rod by hand.
Your P2004 code relates to inlet manifold air control actuator or solenoid on bank 1 stuck open, your code PO411 relates to secondary air injection system, (AIR ) incorrect flow detected. Obviuosly both codes are linked to one fault,
P2004 is intake manifold runner control stuck in the open position. The problem is common in several Ford models. Problem is either switch or actuators. The actuators can be tested using a tool to move them if they are styck and reading volts or in the control circuit.
my 04 zts was throwing the same code. I got under the car and found a vacume hose that was off of an actuator thing ,put it back on and hasn't thrown code since
