95 mustang v6 auto no forward gears but works in reverse had ****** rebuilt and same thing

ok did you look at the color of the fluid? if you fluid is some what dark the clutches for the reverse maybe burn out or the reverse ban may be broken so if i was you i would take it to the professionals ok

you need to check your reverse gear switch for cleaness,then clean it ,see how it goes

STUCK 2-3 SHIFT VALVE , STUCK THROTTLE VALVE LINE BIAS VALVE OR REVERSE BOOST VALVE IN VALVE BODY STUCK.GO TO AUTO PARTS STORE BUY SOME TRANSMISSION ADDITIVE THAT YOU CAN POUR IN TRANSMISSION THAT WILL FREE STUCK SHIFT VALVES IN THE TRANSMISSION.

If your transmission is a 700r4 (4l60) you have a reverse band that engages when you want to go in reverse. since it drives forward your low reverse clutch and your fwd clutch are working. This leaves the band which was probably slipping now is not engaging.

It sounds like you have the Auto box and in it you have 2 bands 1 is the forward and the other one is the Reverse ,so if your forward gears are working ok then the fluids ok so its either the reverse Pump or the Band which drives the reverse gear is worn or buggered .
So your answer is to go to the AUTO MATIC shop and get them to check it out{ IT MIGHT BE THEY CAN ADJUST IT IN TIME IF NOT TO BAD}. AND THAT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY.

its impossible to lose that much fluid with out a leak. the was so low that it has burned your clutches out. would have to rebuild or replace entire transmission

if the forward gears are inoperative your have an internal fault and it will have to be rebuilt or replaced

most shifting probs on the late model vehicles are caused by the shift solenoids or the vehicle speed sensors. look at that first, then figure out when you last had the trans fluid changed and the filter replaced, and the bands adjusted.

if transmisson auto check fluid levels ok

my 1996 audi a4 2.8 awd reverse gear works for a couple of second then stops moving....
