Fuse blown for both the hazard and turn signals. Replaced both fuses. Driver's side signals worked nice and bright but the passenger's side signals were very dim. Then tried the hazard lights and both blew. Only different thing we did was pull a trailer and, instead of just using the turn signals, turned on the hazard lights when we were parked to unload the trailer. Seemed like the 2 extra bulbs might add extra draw on the system but why now would only one side flash turn signals? Are there any easy known fixes?

Sounds like a short, no way of knowing fwhare for sure till You run a tester the lenght of the wire.

Next best guess is the flasher unit has failed, this could be your little blue box, pick up a replacement at any auto parts store and replace it.

if your vehicle lights are working all the fuses will be good. follow the cable from the towing socket on your vehicle , it will most likely go behind one of the rear lights to connect into your cars system,
check your tester where the cables join and you should find the problem. hope this helps.

Back in the late 80's early 90's GM's turn signal switch in would get loose afetr some use and one side or the other turnsignals wouldn't flash or only the third bake light worked and/ or you couldn't flip your headlights to high beams and have them stay on without holding the turn signal arm back. Perhaps if turnining the bulb over as Mr. Scary suggested proves fruitless. and you may explore that option. Get an assistant and have him watch your blinkers tailights etc. and turn your blinker on and push the blinker arm firmly toward the dash and see if that resolves your problem.

sounds like it is either flasher or switch assembly.
