Driver's door seems to be getting no electrical power. The lock is manual only. None of the switches on the door control panel (lock, windows, power mirror) work. The rest of the vehicle's electrical logic responds as if the door is always open, regardless of its position.
If it is an 04 check the wiring inside the rubber pass thru on the drivers side door to the body. there is a black wire thest is notorious for getting brittle and breaking. Just strip back both ends and splice a loop of wire, about 2 inches long between them.
It sounds like it could be one fuse or several. It also could be your door control module.

THIS REALLY WORKS****** Saved atleast $600 easy
Ok so when you open your driver door there is a black boot that goes from the body of Jeep to the door (inside the Jam when you open door-its visable) Take this loose...inside there is a wire bundle...there was a black and orange wire in there that were both broken....All we did was strip these and reconnect them w/ connector....Voila..windows all roll up and down..interior lights come on and the locks work and the power mirrors....I AM SO HAPPY THAT THIS WORKED SAVED ME SO MUCH $$$$

The answer to your question is maybe. Get a couple of switches from a junkyard (my guy gets $5.00 each) and try them. Here's why: I have no less than five different wiring diagrams, and none of them make any sense at all (been doing this stuff a really long time) I keep a good switch handy to check my jeeps when one gets wierd on me...even so, my 93 passenger window works with the key off, none of the others do. Stopped trying to figure it out a long time ago, but would really like to meet the guy who designed this stuff!

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...

Look in the Engine bay fuse box at Fuse #12 this should be for the power windows. If this checks out OK, it could be a fault with a bad ground wire in driver's side door harness. You should be able to pry the runbber boot from the drivers door, and check the larger Black wire that goes through it. These have been known to break after a few years use. If it is the cable, cut neatly, strip the ends anu use a crimp splice. Hope this is a quick and easy fix for you. If it helps you solve the problem, Please take a moment to rate as Fixya! Thanks.
Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.

It was in fact the black wire in the harness leading to the door control. Easy fix in a tight spot. Thanks to all for your time and expertise!
