When I turn the ignition key none of the dashboard nostrum ends light up, the car starts but still none of the gauges, speedo rev counter fuel gauge do not work. I have checked the fuses and they all appear ok.
It MAY be an internal problem with the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). The place to BEGIN diagnosis would be to perform a COMPLETE scan of your ENTIRE onboard computer network. Please note that generic code readers CANNOT perform this function.
Thanks for the response! Can this only be done at a main dealer?
It depends on where you are located and how the local shops are equipped. I am in the USA and work at an aftermarket shop. I have the equipment to access the onboard computer networks on MOST vehicles that are sold in the USA (I also pay dearly for this equipment and information). I do know that there are other areas where this technology is not available to the aftermarket and vehicle owners are forced to go to the "authorized dealer" to get this type of work done.

SOURCE: Gauges do not work....
Probably lost the ground from the instrument cluster. Unfortunately, it's under the dashboard and hard to get to. Possible cracked circuit board.

Has it had an aftermarket Stereo Fitted? This is the first place I ould look if it has..

They have come back on but will not go off unless I take out the radio and interio light fuse. All the fuses are ok, I think there must be a bad earth or circute somewhere but not sure where, any ideas please? Thanks
It is a diesel
