do you know where i can get a wiring diagram for a 1965 ford mustang ?

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is not to say some experts may have manuals, we do, but we work from home and in most cases have a small library. Experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, specific test values, repair procedures and illustrations are unique to each car line, these are not in most cases available to us. Thanks for using FixYa!

I put a painless wiring on my 65 mustang. I have turn signals and tail lights but I blow fuses on the brake lights.

Does the fuse blow before or after you step on the brake? If it blows only after you step on the brake, and voltage from stop lamp switch only goes to rear brakes and not through multifunction switch. If only one connector at the rear for brake lamps, take connector loose, step on the brake, if the fuse still blows, the problem is before the connector. You could Use new wire from brake switch feed, when brake switch is activated, to the rear brakes. Leave pigtail at both ends, splice in new wire, You could let new wire just lay on the ground, for testing, from brake switch to rear brakes. If the brakes work and doesn't blow the fuse, Make the new wire permanent and route the wire properly. Just my opinion. I don't have wiring diagram for your model year.

Need spark plug wiring diagram for 1965 ford

Try this. If the distributor is in the right way, the clips that hold the cap on should be just a hair off of 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. #1 is positioned at 1 o'clock, which is at the firewall side of the distributor. The firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8and is counterclockwise from #1. The passenger's side is cylinders 1-2-3-4, from the front of the car. The driver's side is 5-6-7-8 from the front. Hope this will help.

Got a 65 mustang coupe and the heater blows cold air. It's Dec and this is the wrong time to look cool in my ride. any troubleshooting suggestions on how to remedy the problem>

To verify you have hot water going into the heater core, remove the two hoses for the heater from your engine and see if you have water running through the core. There is a possibility that your heater core is plugged. If that is ok, then your next best thing is to check your cables running to the heater to verify it is not broken. Lastly, check the heater switch to blower motor resistor on the front of the heater box. It may be broken.
