SOURCE: Intermitent fan problem with 1997 Mercedes E320

HI, disconnect the wiring at the blower motor, connect a positive and negative directly from the battery, if the blower works everytime you connect direct power, the problem is somewhere else.

SOURCE: how to replace a water pump on mercedes e320 1997

It is not complicated, depending on what hands-on level of DIY on car. Here are what need to do, so you can estimate how easy or hard when you look through your engine. Drain all the coolant, remove the thermostat housing, remove the fan, belt. Remove the water pump pulley. There are 4 bolts to hold the water pump in place. If you think you can take them out and put them in without removing the AC compressor then you can do it. I did it twice without removing the AC. The pump was fine for the second time, but for leaking seal. At dealer, it is easier to access from the bottom since they have a lifter. But it is doable at home. Have fun if you decide to do it.

I have a 95 mercedes c220. Need to change out the blower motor and regulator for the heator/ac?

Try the strip fuse first on the driver side strut mount, its in a case about the size of a long tootsie roll. The blower motor and regulator are under the wiper assembly.

Heater doesn't blow air? my front windows roll down but my back windows dont. their electric.1988 mercedez 190

Blower is used for either AC or Heater demand. If it doesn't work in heater mode, but work in AC mode then it is a problem with the Climate Control. If it doesn't work in both cases, then check the fuse near the front fender on driver side ( It is not in the fuse box). If the fuse is good, then it is not necessary the blower is burnt, but the blower regulator is burnt. The Blower regulator is underneath of the blower. It can be accessed from the engine side under the wiper motor.

Mercedes e320 front windows problem

Battery Disconnect Window Reset Procedure: Roll window all the way down ( in first position), then roll window all the way up. When you reach the top, press and hold the switch down for 3-5 seconds. Roll window all the way down (again), press and hold the switch down for 3-5 seconds. The window should roll up and down normally. Repeat the same steps for ALL the window switches.

No power to electric windows and interior courtesy lights

This is a common problem, but I've never seen a window regulator go bad in a Mercedes, the problem is probably the switch, you can check his by removing both working and nonworking window switches from the console, and plug in the other side or rear to roll the windows up/down,you will need to disassemble the switch that does not work and clean it well then, it will work again I've done it to my Mercedes

Need blower motor replacement info .need to replace heat/ac blower mtr, mounting plate and regulator-where are they located?need diagram or procedure

They are under the wiper assembly under the hood. Remove partial firewall, wiper assembly and "cage" for the motor. The regulator is under the motor. I would check the strip fuse first its but the drivers sidestrut mount in a tootsie roll sized plastic snap container.

Passenger side window in 1997 E Class Mercedes will not roll up

i m assuming it is your right rear window. it is the most common to fail on that model. I would remove the door panel and inspect your window regulator. the drive cable probably broke. You can disconnect the window from the regulator and manually slide it up and prop it in place with a piece of wood. that's what I did when I did roadside for benz. Hope i have been helpful

My driver side widow want roll up on my 1997 E320. i took the panel off and i push the button for the window to go up it doesnt. the window is not off set but still will not roll up

had same problem with my e240 i thought the window motor is the problem. but i figured out that the window is just stucked up and it needs to be lubricated. i tried putting power window lubricant on the sides and it worked. my advice is not to use a pertroleum based lubricant. try a silicone spray lubricant which is safe for rubbers and vinyls. i hope this helps. thank you.
