SOURCE: heater blower motor

the heater blower motor is located undr the glovebox there are 3 small bolts holding it in place, 7/32 socket i believe after loosening these you will most likely have to move the wirring harness that goes through the floor to get the motor to drop down. after the you get the motor to drop down there is a large vaccum line that goes into the side of the motor gently pull this out be careful not to pull the other end of the vaccum line loose from inside the car. the is a power plug in the side of the motor that u will need to unplug to free up the blower. because it is hard to see the power plug needs to be pressed down on the top and pulled simaltaniously.

SOURCE: my Backup light are not working on my 98 Pontica Grand Prix.

First check for power at the light sockets and make sure they are properly grounded. The neutral start switch should also be the backup light switch (located on the transmission at the shift lever). If vehicle is starting in the correct shift positions, likely it is adjusted properly. However, have someone watch the backup lights and move shift lever through the gears. if while moving lever lights flash, switch may be slightly out of adjustment. Pink or dark blue wire should be power supply to switch, light green should send power to lights. This is powered by a 15a fuse on the fuse panel.

On the 2000 Grand Prix, is the oil pan the one in front, or is that the transmission fluid pan?

The one in front should be the oil pan, the transmission pan is stamped steel and sort of "L" shaped, starting on the drivers side and wrapping around behind the engine oil pan. The trans pan also does not have a drain plug, where the engine oil pan does.

Does my 2007 grand prix have 2 oil reservoirs?

You have 3 engine options for that vehicle but all of them should accept oil through an oil spout in the valve cover and the oil pan on the bottom of the engine is your only reservoir. Aside from some residual oil throughout the engine and in your one oil filter.

How do you change the oil on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

you need to remove the drain plug from the oil pan, make sure the pan plug gasket is not dropped. Then you remove the filter & replace with a new one. After the oil has been left to drain. put the pan plug snuggly back into the oil pan. Refill 4.5 liters of 5w 30w engine oil. Start the engine, check for any leaks from both the new filter & pan plug. Turn off igntion & check the oil level on the dipstick. to make sure it is at the topp off the cross stitched area, if not add more a half liter at a time until it is at the full mark. There is nothing to grease with this car. U should also check transmission fluid, whick needs to be checked while the engine is running in park, there is a hot & cold safe level so check it carefully.

How much to change a oil pan gasket for 2001 grand prix 3.8 gt

If you want to repair the oil pan I would also check lower engine mount for leaking oil and cracks in anti sway bar near fitting's. This due to engine mount is oil filled. OEM sway bar is made of tubular steel and they crack easy. Replacement sway bar is solid steel. Here's the kicker. When they pull the lower frame to service oil pan. The engine mount and sway bar are attached to that frame. A honest mechanic should only charge for parts ($35 for mount and $100 for sway bar) and maybe a extra hour. My mechanic did all in 5 hours. FYI gasket is only $35 bucks. Good luck

My 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP has an oil leak located on the firewall side of the engine. It's a small leak (2-3 drops a day) but very messy on my concrete driveway. How can I fix it?

Try some motor honey. It can be bought at most part stores, advanced auto, autozone, ect. It worked for my 95 Grand Am when I had a leak in my oil pan gasket. Hope this helps
