SOURCE: Info on replacing water pump on Subaru Legacy

The water pump is run by the timing belt.Involves the draining the antifreeze, removing the radiator/condensor fan motors, harmonic balancer,alt./ac./p.s. belts, timing covers and timing belt.Along with a new pump,a new timing belt should installed.Timing marks are critical and it should be repairer by a garage.Should take about 1 to 2 hours or so to do if everything comes apart easy. Also there is no cap or rotor, only a coil pak.Hope this gives you a better idea.

SOURCE: how to replace fuel pump on 96 subaru legacy

the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank, that tank must be pulled to do this. the procedure for removing the tank and pump are very little changed from car to car, here are a good set of general instructions with photos.

91 subaru pneumatic air suspension not working

The front struts from either sedan or wagon are interchangeable so either will work, back struts have to be from the same type (wagon or sedan) as top suspension mount plates are different. Just pull the air suspension out and replace with standard struts. There are plenty of people dismantling them so parts are easy to get and quite cheap.
It's easy to swap, just remove each strut and bolt in the standard one, Remove the switch from the dash and get a blanking plate from a dismantled vehicle and fit it into the hole.

How long should it take to replace a clutch on a 94 subaru loyale 4wd. thanks

Hello. Replacing the clutch in a 4WD is a pretty big job. Dealerships charge it as a ten hour job. It could take from 8-12. Joe

1992 Subaru legacy ls wagon w/air suspension. Air pump appears to be working but very low, bumpy ride. Does not appear the shocks are working properly.

your shocks are leaking or a leak in the lines or pump it has a rolling diaphram when you hit a speed they lower and raise on speed

if you cant find the leak you can pump the strut with a compressor if it has a leak replace it if they are expensive and you wish a cheeper fix you can cap off the front lines or rear or replace all of them with regular coils and struts if off a used car the struts may be bad the spring is heavy and the strut needs to be removed and checked if its bad get new ones they are not cheep but the air ride struts new are a grand or better well they use to be a used one was a few hundred i replaced them with springs on a gl-10 years ago and the light may blink remove the bulb or a wire under the drivers side seat not sure on that year

Steering wheel clicks on 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon

steering column bearing sounds like a worn out steering column... jack the front wheels off the ground both sides relieve load on steering wheel to see if it lessens the amount of feel and noise, if it does it shoud be the column bearing, replace bearings or complete column,,, also try with the wheels off the ground and safely supported to manualy steer the wheels by hand and see if you feel in roughness or hear any noises, should some minor resistance but be smooth in it movement if everything suspension and steering component wise is in good working condition... please rate my help.. thanks...
