No dash light&&rightparklight not blowing fuse

  • Anonymous May 03, 2009

I just had this problem occur starting last week. The fuse in the cabin was not blown, but the fuse in the box in the engine compartment was blown. The first time I checked, it was the left marker light fuse that was blown. I replace it, only to have the right marker light fuse blow. The fuse blows instantly when I turn the lights on, causing me to have no dash lights, no front right marker light, and no right tail light. I would love to hear from someone who has found a solution.

Whitehead fuse works the gage lights on my 2004 chev 2500HD I've looked in both fuse panels and I can't find the fuse dose anyone know which one it is

I don't think there is a fuse for the dash lights.
On newer GM trucks the lighting is handle by the body computer, the switches provide ground to the BCM and power for the dash lights comes from it.
The headlight switch provides a ground to the BCM and to the headlight relays. All of the external lights have fuses.
If you can't find a fuse for dash lights in the owners manual I will say it has been dropped.

Check engine light is on , it seems to be skipping and chugging , had the wires and plugs replaced , all the gaskets seem fine, have been taking it to mechanics to find the problem but no one seems to get...

I would have them take a good look at the fuel preasure and also the coil pack, as the car may run good at times and then skip whenever, hope this helps, also have they scanned the computer for stored codes as if its skipping the check engine light must be on.

04 chev optraheadlights not working. new switch and drl module. drls working .no high or low beam.relays and fuses good

apparently there has been a Daewoo technical bulletin that says problems with low beam and DRL on some 2005-6 Optras caused by a melted wire in the s201 splice pack on the IP harness. If I knew where that was I might be able to fix the same problem on my Optra. Tried new light switch but no success.

incorrectly wired radio would cause problem.it would be the wire that is suppose to connect for dimming lights looks like a ground but is not has a yellow or a white stripe with black on it.use it as a ground and it will blow the fuse.

04 chev optra i have no daytime running lights and no low beam but the high beam works i have swaped fuses and new bulbs what else can it be

I have a similar problem with my 2005 Optra 5 - daytime running lights are hit/miss. About 3-4 years ago, the alarm started activating itself - FREQUENTLY. Turns out it was corroded wires. Now this. (Take heart - my Corolla had a similar problem - bad sockets - bulbs burned out faster than they could be replaced. Toyota never did admit responsibility.)

Low beam failure would lead to reduced visibility during hours of darkness. DRL failure may render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and pedestrians during daylight hours. Both cases could lead to a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will add a direct connection splice clip to the headlamp low beam circuit in order to bypass the faulty connector.
