My 2001 Daewoo Leganza cranks, fires, but will not stay running more than a quick second. The check engine light stated to come on regularly for the last few months and once a week or so I had to try

the problem is that you have allowed it to degenerate to the point where it can be a costly fix where at the time the engine light first came on , a trip to the local auto spares shop would result in a fault code reading for free have the fault codes read now check the oil levels and coolant levels at the radiator as it could be the result of and overheating peroblem

Daewoo Laganza 2002 CDX wont start

I've had a bit to do with that kind of vehicle, Daewoo 16v 2.0/2.2 GMH engine, a friend bought a 98 Leganza which blew it's engine a few years later, but cannot guess that particular fault without examination. I would recommend joining the Daewoo owner's website, it was very helpful to me when I was working on his. Bad news is, personally I don't think much of those engines, they have a number of issues, including a peculiar intermittent oil starvation problem which can develop in the sump, which was what killed his engine.

Daewoo leganza wont rev past 2800 rpm idles fine just wont rev past 2800 ?

In park, this could be normal. ECU does this. around 2800 to 3500 RPMs. If driving, have the codes read. No codes , could be a clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump(have the pressure checked), or clogged catalytic converter/s. With no codes, something is restricted..

Got engine codes saying to replace the cam sensor. I did and the code went away, but it still won't fire.

If you have diagnosed the vehicle to have no fire, does it have injector pulse? Fuel pressure? Does the check engine light come on during a bulb check? Have you looked at the crank sensor? This sensor supplies info to the computer to start/control ignition spark

Mechanic changed cam crank sensor & disconnected positive battery cable- "reset" it; but came back on. Doesn't know how to "resynchronize" it (can't find software on machine).

Ask parts store to clear codes. If it comes back, you have not fixed all problems. Read remaining codes.
