03 ford escape idles at 1200rpm. cleaned iac replaced bank 2 sensor 1 o2 sensor vacuum lines plugs and intake gaskets cleaned tb iac . runs great 187,400. rpms drop to 850 when ac on. fluids good.

High idle is most often caused by an engine vacuum leak, use a can of carburetor spray and spray it around the intake manifolds (upper and lower), if there is a leak you will hear a change in the idle speed

My 94 jeep wrangler sport 2.5L has been idling very high. I've changed the throttle position sensor, coolant sensor, control valve, replaced the vacuum lines and elbows, throttle gasket and reset it...

High idle could also be of air going in past the MAF mass air flow, just like a vacume leak. Tap the IAC idle air control valve and see if any changes? I normally like to spray water all around the engine specially the vacume pipes and the intake to find leaks (that was old school) now we have smoke machine which is accurate and detects a very small crack.

P0101 code for check engine light.. possible solutions???

Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0101 has a generic description of "Mass or volume air flow circuit range/performance problem". This can be caused by several things including:
> Dirty air filter
> Air leak in air intake system
> Contaminated, deterriorated or damaged Mass Air Flow Sensor
> Poor electrical connections at the Engine Control Module, the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
> Faulty MAF or TPS

You should check your air filter and air intake system visually and correct any obvious defects/leaks first.

If a visual inspection does not turn up the cause, then you will need a scan tool capable of reading sensor data to verify the function of the MAF and TPS. You will also need proper electrical diagnostic equipment to verify the integrity of the circuits and continue with diagnosis.

I have a 2005 f150 with a 5.4 and am getting a code po506 what is this!

PO506 --- Idle Air Control System RPM lower then expected

Clean Throttle Plate
Check for any air/vacuum leaks --

Ducting from air filter to throttle, loose or a vacuum leak
Throttle Body Leaking
MAF Sensor
IAC Valve gasket
Egr Gasket
PCV Seal

Hopefully you have installed new spark plugs since 2005
Also replaced the front (2) O2 Sensors at 100,000 miles
Cleaned MAF Sensor once or twice a year

If you facing a little black smoke along with it your engine is running a little rich. Black smoke indicates unburned fuel and this could cause a black stain and leading to test failure
