Renault clio 1.4 rt 1998 1 of 2 remote control still not working even after changing batteries. light on control enits but still nothing.

I had a problem where my key fob did not lock or unlock the car, Renault Clio Dynamique, but the central locking button in the car did still work and engine turned over fine. Changed the key fob battery still nothing. Read online about disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery, (negative only) and hey presto it worked! All working fine now!

hold the cetral locking lock all button down until the doors lock and unlock. The imobilser light goes solid red. At this point you have 10 to press the botton on your key 2 times . the doors will unlock and lock.

Although its an "86" to play it safe Take it back to dealer there may be a reset program involved with this.

Hello this temprature switch is located on the drivers side of cylender head faceing towards strut pot.

my y reg clio has intermittent starting problemm..sometimes i turn key nothing there but dash still lights up..will bump start.then other occasions will start

I have a clio II, 2001, i have the same problem and i fixed it.
Don't know if will work for you but here it goes:

1 - no key in ingnition
2 - press the unlock button in console off the car for about 10 seconds(dont let go)
3 - it should work the central doors one time and then 2 times( hear)
4 - press the remote a few times until it starts working

It worked for me hope the same for you.

Use new bolts, tighten in the following stages 1. 20Nm 2. 100Nm 3. wait 3 mins 4. slacken bolts 1&2 retighten to 20Nm +110 degrees 5. carry out stage 4 for bolts 3,4,5 & 6 then bolts 7,8,9 &10 Sequence, 8 4 1 5 9 7 3 2 6 10 Bolts 9 & 10 are flywheel side of the engine.

try your fuel injector relay they are the pro with them car . if the comp does not pick the fuel up it will not start?stick to the mean crabs bro
