The common cause of this problem is the Park Neutral switch, also called the range switch, it is on the side of the transmission. It mounts externally on the transmission on the front or
driver's side of the transmission. Most have a three wire connector that
plugs in to it and you can take them out with a socket or large wrench.
The PCM on this vehicle uses inputs from 3 different switches/ sensor for this: (1) Transmission range switch, located on the outside of the transmission, just above the transmission pan, white in color (2) Park/ Neutral position switch , also located on the outside of the transmission case, above the pan, near the transmission range switch; black in color (3) Transmission range switch/ sensor, located inside of the transmission. --------- This will help.Thanks.helpmech.
Also the instrument cluster needs to be inspected.---------The soldering on the instrument cluster board gets short and causes this problems.-------
Also the HVAC control, connectors on the cluster board needs to be inspected.-----
