I have 161,000 on my 00 Runner. Have had the shocks/struts changed TWICE.... (thats cause I have FUN with mine over the years) Personally, I would go with what the dealership says, then just replicate that at a good shop for cheaper price.

to get some ideas of the cost first run the fault codes to determine the problem doubt if it is an oil pump as you drove home could be a pressure regulator passing excessive oil and heating it up, not enough coolant in the radiator and you have an over heating problem, excessive oil in the transmission

Check all runner wires, it cut and shortege with body..

run the fault codes and check for a reverse servo/ solenoid problem

Trace that wiring harness for broken, frayed, chafed wires. Check relays and have them tested, check fuses with 12 volt light, while fuses r plugged in touch light to each metal prong at the top of the fuse. Go on from there.

Bulbs are bad or the wiring is broken. Remove the top bezel, it pops off, to access the bulbs/wiring. Wires usually break at the boot between the hatch and body.

sounds like your brake booster is going out or has gone out that's what causes the brake pedal to get hard change that out and that should fix your problem. hope this helps have a nice day

Make sure the Master Lockout button isn't ON. There will be a different power source for Windows and Locks You will still need to start by checking the fuse Your Owner's Manual should have a decent description of location of that fuse. Also keep in mind that a 2000 is 15 years old and lots can happen. See if: 1. Door open or closed - and which door - makes a difference (that may indicate a damaged wire in door harness - Jam area) 2. Wiggle or hold down the "Window Lock" button to see if that is an issue (Master switch problem) If all the windows don't work then start with the above - it is most likely associated with power or ground to the switch. You will probably have to physically remove the switch to check circuits at the switch connector. Let me know what you find Thanks

I believe it is a 1/4 turn of the connector at the back./

Put it on a dealers computer and they can pull out any codes that auto zone can't. It could be a computer problem

check make sure your dash light intensity isnt turned all the way down,if not then you will have to replace radio.
