Did you check the relay? In the fuse box under the hood there should be a pwr window relay. You can temporarily swap it for one with the same part number to test it out.

Does it go completely black or just dim? Most displays dim when you turn the lights on to make the display darker so its not too bright. GPS and other displays do this. Do you have any problems with any other of the car's electronics?

your breaks may be jamming on check the cylinder behind the disc pad it maybe corroded and seized.

The security light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. Has this happened after you replaced the sensors for the abs. if so they have to be set at a gap close to the rotor sensor to read correctly. The other thing maybe if the new sensors area slightly different to the original ones the abs might be having trouble identifying them.The last one maybe, could the new brake pads be causing flexing or pushing against something resulting in this intermittent problem.

check the flexible connection to the rack/ box. Check that the clamp bolt has not come loose . Check that the steering wheel is tight on the shaft.

there is a sheet metal pan on the bottom of the trans case, remove that pan to change fluid, there is no drain plug, also replace the filter under the pan inside the trans.

it probably in the radio it self .some of have 2 fuses check them.better check all fuses. good luck

you may be hydro locked. pull your air filter and see if it's full of water. then pull your spark plugs and turn the engine over. see if you blow any water out of the cylinders. if you didn't damage it, you should be able to get it started with a new filter and spark plugs.
