X type pedal sensor n limp mode
have you checked the fault codes? it sounds like you may have a wiring fault, or even a faulty throttle body, you really need a wiring diagram to help sort this one out, i think the good luck.
My 2002 x-type jaguar is pausing for a long time
Check you fluid level in the Transmission.
I have had some luck using the Lucas brand of transmission fix it lube on some Ford transmissions. It helped squeeze another couple of years use out of the car.
Good luck
What does the error message "cruise box" mean?
This is a new one on me ,i can only assume it means something wrong with the cruise control ,i would need to see the car to have any idea at all to be honest my one doesnt display any messages but it is a older model
3.o v6 jaguar changed x2 lambda sensor cleared faults for 2 mins come on again
Had this problem before ,in fact its quite common on the S type with this engine and i think you will need to check the voltages for the heaters i find that one or the other out of the four doesnt have any 12v power ,and trying to find the correct wiring circuit is like a hidden treasure trove ,the 12v heater circuit comes from the ECU and the fault lies here so what i do to make them work and please remember iam a old fleet comercial mechanic not a dealer unit changer i make a feed from a supply via the ignition circuit this will make them work correctly for the emissions test but the light will still be on .To test the circuit remove the multiplug to the sensor and where you have two white wires this is the 12v feed ,do check the earth to make sure its ok but one of the wires is the feed and the other is the ground.you can incoperate a a fuse into the feed wire of 5 amp but a couple of connectors and a fuse of the larger type straight onto the legs ,i wouldnt advise you to take a feed from the other sensor and this could cause that circuit to go down as well ,i have no idea why this happens on these vehicles but i suspect that the chips in the ECU could be made in china and are not of the best quality .
How to replace cooling fan assembly on 2002 jaguar xtype
you can remove from the underside by removing the lower plastic bumper cover, the torx screws will be more than likley siezed, you then have access to the rad fan unit.i think you can just about remove the fan unit without the radiator or you may have remove the whole lot but you will have to remove the support bar, 4 poss siezed bolts.drain the cooling system first then sort it on your bench, hope this is helpfull,
Alarm is not resetting tried to reset using suggestions on the forum no success
does the car lock and unlock with the plip? if so you may have a problem with the pats. security system. and will need to go on to suitable diagnostic equipment to sort it out, if it does not check the plip battery and try to reprogramme by switching the ignition on and off 5 or 6 times until you hear a chime, remove the key and press any button on the plip you should hear the chime again to confirm the operation.press any button on your spare plip if you have one or you will loose that plips programme and will have to repeat the operation. these plips are unreliable, they suffer from static electicity interferance. there is a simple mod availiable from your jaguar dealer to rectify that problem, good luck,
Cigarette lighter
The fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box on the driver side of the car under the dash. It is a blue 15 amp fuse.
When you open this fuse box, you will see some larger relays with 4 rows of fuses below it. The fuse you are looking for is the first fuse in the 2nd row. in the 2002 X-type, that fuse is a little taller than the other ones.
Thanks for using the fixya forums!
