Insert your key in the ignition and turn it on and off. Push the Arm button until you hear it lock. That does the trick for me always. I own a 02 jag myself.

i heard you, battery is fine but needs to be tested. can it deliver the required cold cranking amps? i had experience like that. measured 12+ volts at battery terminals, & hesitantly tried to jump but no go. took out battery for free recharge, they told me bad battery.

the most likeley cause of your problem is a faulty lambda sensor.why do you think it is a bad earth? get someone with a obd 2 code reader to extract the fault codes out of the engine control module, that will help to diagnose the problem. there are 4 sensors 2 for each bank of cylinders, could be 1 or more of them , hope this helps.

Check the connector at the back, if the speakers had gone altogether is likely to be the cause. If it is not the connector, test the audio output on speakers on the stereo, if it works check connector and wiring to speakers, if you have no audio the stereo is faulty.

1st you do realize that the zones on this auto are adjustable from side to side not just front to rear??? , 2nd this auto has an electronic temp control that auto selects whether or not it blows hot or cold on that sides seating area biased on the temp settings of the person in that seat (body temp) , I guess its possible that the dash control module for this could be defective , but its been my own experience that if no one is sitting in that seat it gets a little "confused" and seems to cycle between cold and hot , one can only feel this if you direct all the vents towards the drivers side , simple fix is not to cross direct the vents over to opp. sides , as it will maintain (if working properly) a comfortable setting on drivers side (what ever set temp is )

You can't bypass it. It is security. Either the cluster , ECM or bad data wires is the problem.

You may have to replace the female receptical for the seat belt. There may be a switch inside the latch that has gone bad.

Have the inner/outer tie rods replaced. Also have the upper/lower ball joints checked. It could also be a brake hanging. If this was at all helpful, please rate. Thanks for asking.

There is a hose that runs across the top of the engine, just underneath the air box. Examine that hose carefully and you will probably find a hole in it. Usually either where the engine has burned through or abraded it. A new replacement looks a bit different as it has ridges that take it off the top cover.
