Automatic transmission reverse not working
Try flushing the fluid. 2 1/2 quarts come out easily with the drain plug at the driver side. Add only Honda approved fluid. It is OLD dextron and $8 a quart. There is no filter on a Honda but you could add one on the return line from the radiator /cooler. Use Lucas conditioner as a last resort before replacing the solenoids/transmission. My CL had blocked filter mesh screens at the Torque Converter lock-up solenoids.

I need a water pump pulley for a 1987 honda
I think you will only be able to find on in the bone yards. I don't know if you checked online, but most junkyards have locator services.
Worst case, I would take the old pulley to a small machine shop and I am confident that they could repair anything that was wrong with it. They may charge you $ 100 or so, but that is much cheaper than a new car and the Hondas are great cars and last forever if taken care of.

No Start, Fuel pump does not activate.
You will need to replace the fuel pump it is located in the gas tank. Disconnect the battery jack the back of the up and place on jack stands, using plywood and a floor jack lower the gas tank and disconnect the fuel pump( it clips on) and pull the tank out and replace with new pump

Test for fuel cut off relay
Sam so right now you have crank no start,or no crank , no start. Not clear.
If its no crank no start.Your looking at battery, cables, ignition switch , starter relay.
If its crank no start, you know that B+ is making it to starter. Ok now listen for fuel pump to buzz or hum when you put key in ignition and turn to on position. No buzzing or humming fuel pump or relay.
make a set of jumper cables run them from battery to fuel pump, Does the pump run? If yes. The pump is good relay is not. If pump doesn't run then its the pump. Remember when you do this test you don't need the key in ignition Battery doesn't have to be connected, because your bypassing the control circuit.

Checking transmission fluid
Hi:
I don't know if you have an automatic or a 5 speed, but here is help for either one:
Automatic:
locate the auto transmission fluid dipstick, on passenger side of engine compartment. It should read full, while the engine is running, transmission in Park.
5 speed. There is a threaded plug on the side of the transmission. You need to remove the plug . the transmission should be filled to the bottom of the threaded hole, or till it runs out!
