check power steering levels i have the same year Gen I-III have a power steering defect PS fluid pumps into system then
out tail pipe, white smoke.Lexus fixed this in later models.. check

check to see if you getting fuel ck fuses for elec fuel pump,ck fuel pressure with tester rented from auto zone or oreilleys,ck injectors with ohm metter unplug injector ck the injector for resistance should be 12 or ubove.utube has a detailed describtion for testing injectors GOOD LUCK
Air bag suspension system wont inflate on 1992 lexus ls 400
The first thing to check would be the compressor, check all fuses and see if compressor is running.i can tell you that most air bag systems develop a leak in the bags and the problem is not fixed inturn the air compressor runs so much to fill leaking bags that it over heats and destroys the compressor. most of the time the compressor fuse will blow, so check fuses first and then compressor. I have never seen a 1992 lexus with air bags.
Car gettin no charge
faulty altinator relay or bad battery most accesory shops should be able to check thsi for you
How hot should both front wheels feel to touch after short trips? Mine are VERY Hot Rears are considerably cooler. What could casue this?
If you have very hot front wheels not stand to touch the rims not the discs - because the discs are very hot due to brakes impact friction- then it is one thing either you have semi blocked pressure hoses on calipers or sticky calipers,or master cylinder or ABS Accumulator. But I suggest to start from the pressure hoses,by jacking up the car on a stand pump the brakes several times and try to rotate the wheels,if are tight to spin then open the bleeder on the caliper to release pressure if kept in and retry to spin the wheel. If are free the you confirm that are your front brake pressure hoses. good luck
Front Rims are very hot after short trips, too hot to touch, what coudl cause this?
Dear Mr. Tom the reason which is causing you rims to become hot after a short trip is either you are using too much your brakes or you have problem with your brakes master cylinder or the ABS accumulator,or calipers or pressure hoses are a semi blocked and on releasing the brake pedal the fluid does not return immediately to master cylinder and are going slowly-slowly therefore keep the calipers pushing the pads against the discs and are getting hot. My advice is to jack the car on a stand and start the car pump the brakes and release and immediately rotate the wheel to see whether is hard turning.If so open the bleeder to release the fluid and check again.If the wheel spin freely then are your pressure hoses.. When i press break reverse light come on
what have you done to inspect the wiring? You got a short somewhere and should inspecthave your ecently changed the tailights or doen siimlar work in the brake light area? Have you tested the brake light switch & wiring for a short? Have you inspected the reverse light switch & wiring for shorts?As always,. more specific details gets more specific solutionsBest regardsCk

Where is the low pressure port located?
if your are looking for the air conditioner Freon low side port i can only assume that your trying to recharge your ac yourself. DO NOT DO IT!! i work on cars professionally. the only way to properly charge your ac is to evacuate first under vacuum to eliminate all moisture from the system. if you have any moisture in the system and you run it it will cost you thousands of dollars instead of the hundred it would cost to have a professional do it. if the Freon cans worked well mechanics would use them instead of buying thousands of dollars worth of machines to do it.
