Removing axle nut from a 2001 forester

Remove the centre from wheel but leave the wheel on the vehicle. With the vehicle on the ground,Put the vehicle in park with the hand brake on. Using a 32mm socket n large bar undo the nut I hope this helps.

Bank one is always the cylinders on the passenger side so i thus would advice you to check for your trouble on that side of your engine !!!

Other than replacing it with a new gasket, you can try super weatherstrip adhesive in a red tube. The product is yellow.

2001 Subaru Forrester. Original owner first thought he had a head-gasket problem, because it overheated on hime one time and had to get the radiator replaced. I've seen no signs of overheating since d

the knock sensors are attached outside each cylinder and sense when detonation in the cylinder occurs and signals the CPU to increase /decrease the air/fuel ratio for the engine rpm and load. IF they are not working then you will get a rattle in the engine because the CPU is not getting compensating information. This rattle if not stopped will cause engine damage. The o2 sensor problem will have to be addressed also as the sensor is telling the CPU that the air/fuel mixture is not right and it will run lean or rich and the economy will suffer.. Low heat from the heater signifies that there is a air lock in the coolant system that you may have to remove by pressure bleeding the system
