Lexus - Acceleration of my 2002 Lexus IS 300 is not smooth
If the cruise is not turned on, then it probably is not your problem. I believe after 8 years of mechanic work, you either have a faulty sensor or a leaky vacuum hose. A camshaft position sensor could cause this, if you tranny is automatic, some of them have a torque converter clutch circuit that can also go bad and cause the car to act this way as well. You can test pretty much any sensor with an ohmmeter to see if it is good or not. You can also go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual for your car. Quite simply, if there is a drain plug, then loosen it and wait till all the fluid has come out.If there is not a drain plug, than you have to loosen all the pan bolts in a rotational motion and leave the very front ones in as you remove the rest the fluid will start dripping around the rear of the pan. Use a large pan to collect the fluid, an old refridgerator bottom drawer works quite well. Now the reason for leaving the front bolts in but loose is all the fluid will come out to the rear instead of flowing down your arms to the elbow which I find quite uncomfortable. Once the fluid slows down remove the remaing bolts and keep track of the direction of the pan as it comes off. Pour the rest of the fluid from the tranny pan into your collector. Look at the small magnet stuck to the bottom of the pan, there will be a small amount of metal filings, this is normal. Clean the pan and the magnet. Some filters are screwed in and others pop off of a rubber grommet. You'll know what you've got when you see it. Again keep an eye on the position of the filter as you remove it. Put the new filter in, place the gasket on the pan and keep it in place with four or six bolts until you get it started back in place.Then just tighten them in a military rotation(ask a friend if you don't know what this means. The window is bending in
It sounds like the window has jumped the track and is riding up the outside of the track. As the window moves up, it forces it to a flatter angle and "tips" it inward. No real solution other than removing the inner door panel and setting things straight. While it's open, check for broken pieces, missing screws, etc.

If the motor is running then it probably slipped off the track. You will need to remove the door panel from the inside and check the clips that hold it onto the track. If the clips are broken replace them and then put the door panel back on.
To remove the door panel, look at the handle and remove the screw behind the hand, then remove the screws from the armrest. Now pull the bottom of the door panel, it will pop as you pull it from the car. Keep an eye out for plastic pop screws too.

Check with Autozone or O'reillys to name a few. There is such a thing as a captive part (dealer only). Another alternative is the Salvage yard. The latter is really easier than you would think, most of the time they have already pulled the part, will pull the part, or you can do it and learn where it is and how to remove it. In general you may need a special socket for O2 sensors.
As part of the Emisson devices it would have a longer warranty, something like 8 years and 100,000 miles. Check owners manual, call Corporate customer service.

If you have just regular Halogen lamp then here is the problem:
The contact from the plug to the bulb got corroded over time. Clean out the contact of the plug is difficult, but cleaning the prong sot the bulbs is feasible. After clean them put the bulb from the right to the left to see the problem revesed.
My recommendation is to replace both the bulbs. It has been 7 years, and they have not been changed, it time to replace even they are still glowing. The reason to replace to have new clean contact less resistance to have a steady current, avoiding the on and off situation.
Cd player on is 300
try to look inside the slot there may be another cd that is stuck inside. I have seen this happen . The stuck cd has to be removed.
Battery keeps running down.
Yes, there are aftermarket chimes, and there is also a battery level shutoff, when voltage under 8V is sensed, it will stop the battery from working until you put a key in the ignition.
The IS 300 should have a lights on chime minimally. Is the radio a factory one?
