My brake lights will not work **** all my fuses

Hi, the problem you are having will be with the brake light switch, it may be that its come away from the pedal or it could need replacing, to find the brake light switch all you need to do is get on your hands and knees the drivers side of the car and have a really close look at the brake pedal, now once your looking at the brake pedal follow it to the very top of the pedal and then you should see the brake light switch it should be stuck to the bracket of the brake light pedal it will be located just behind the moving part of the brake pedal.

have a look and the switch may just be hanging down and need just pushing back in place, you sohlud be able to adjust it slightly as it may just be wore so have a good look and you will see how it works its just a button that is pressed when you touch the brake pedal.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

You have to do this: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

I need radio code for my acura mdx 2001 radio when

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

My car stays in the garage regularly, except for

I recently purchased a 2001 MDX from a private owner.  I encountered the same cosmetic problems as well and did some research online.  I visited the Meguiar's (car care products) website, looking for headlight haze remover and what to do about paint "oxidation."  What I discovered is the discoloration is NOT oxidation, but rather "clearcoat failure."

Good news:  The headlight yellow haze is easily fixed with a power drill and a product called "One-Step Headlight Restoration Kit."  For under $20 I buffed out both headlights in about 10 minutes (I went over each a couple of times after I saw the product wasn't doing any harm and got more brave with the drill).

Bad news:  Nothing can fix the clearcoat failure.  You gotta repaint it.  From what I read clearcoat failures are as individual as fingerprints.  The common cause, however, is heat.  How much heat varies from model to model, color to color, and geographic location.  Some people have reported garaging their cars, like you, and STILL seeing the discoloration years down the road, while others totally neglect their cars and the clearcoat stayed clear - go figure.
